Earlier if the tkt is W/L till the departure of the train, the ticket gets automatically cancelled and the amount would be debited to our account. You cannot travel even on w/l ticket and will be treated as ticketless passenger. Now how can we cancel when we donot get confirmation till the chart is prepared? At last minute it is difficult to cancel by sitting on computer. Earlier system is ok. Now cancellation of w/l tkt is being charged which is not correct. more
In present time poor /seniors citizens are already squeezed due to reduction in bank interest rates.Reducing/decreasing train facilities will further dis hearten them.I am of the view that at least seniors must be out of the criteria. There is a clear line for senior citizen. So there can not be any fraud in the matter. more

These days myself planning to travel only by road instead of railways who never maintain proper timings. The railway minister should follow M/s Mamatha Banerjee instead of following Mr Lalu Prasad Yadav who is least bothered about common man. more
The actual motive behind the increase of cancellation fee is to ensure public stay away from railways in future just like no one prefers to travel in passenger trains. more
