* FIR against Mumbaiites who violate home quarantine rules if they are high risk contacts of covid-19 positive patients. They will also be compulsorily institution-quarantined

* Entire building will be sealed as a containment zone if more than five positive cases are found.

* ₹200 fine for not wearing face masks, which is mandatory while travelling in public transport, at public places, in private offices, wedding ceremonies, and places of worship.

* BMC to conduct surprise inspections at restaurants, bars, malls, shopping centres.

* At least five wedding venues where ceremonies are scheduled will be inspected per day. If Covid-19 rules are being violated during the ceremony, action will be taken against the management and wedding organisers.

* Number of BMC clean-up marshals deployed to fine citizens not wearing masks and spitting on streets to be doubled from 2,400 to 4,800.

* Their daily target doubled from average of 12,500 people fined per day at present, to 25,000 people per day for violating rules.

* 300 BMC marshals will travel in local trains to ensure commuters wear face masks. Non-compliance will attract a ₹200 fine. Marshals authorised to levy fine.

* At religious places, women marshals will be deployed to take action against those not wearing face masks

* Travelers from Brazil will also undergo mandatory institutional quarantine. At present, travellers from the UK, Europe, the Gulf countries, and South Africa are transferred to institutional quarantine facilities. more
