I understand medical devices are now all supposed to have MRPs.

One should not be complacent on seeing the MRP printed on the devices/articles/medicines as consumers are fleeced even by mentioning MRPs much higher than their actual retail prices. There are such instances in respect of hundreds of consumable items. more

The manufacturing cost of medicines are very low. The research and development money is realised in the patent and hence after the expiry of it it must be priced moderately. However the manufacturers do not lower the cost. Also the Generic medicines are to be made known widely for the popular ones. The hospitals and the service providers must be forced to sell the products and services at low cost. more

Does the MRP practices helping to control the fake pricing and helping the customer.? I don’t think so. A strong system is needed to fix and implement the pricing system more
