MOCI and DIPP actions
I feel walmart back door entry into India is a real concern. The following policies should be enforced without much delay:
1) Rules changed so all sourcing for ecommerce platforms in India only to be done with Indian manufacturers (they can have seperate site for selling foreign/imported goods In India) That way all sourcing of walmart is via Indian manufacturer/sme/producer
2) All chinese goods imported MUST be compliant to BIS standards or cant be imported
3) Sourcing or import of branded products sold by global companies (Apple, Adidas, Samsung, Nike) through parallel channels must be restricted in India. Walmart-Flipkart, Amazon will flood market through china or thailand made merchandise and Indian brands will have to shut down sooner or later.

"Sorry Boss, I totally disagree .. For how long do we Indians want to protect our Inefficient Products ? For Diwali or any special occasion, we light a Lari or String of Lights in our House for a day or two only .. The Indian Ones which claim to be more strong & should last longer cost about 300-400 .. and if we do not store them properly, they break in sometime .. we then call the Electrician to repair/fix them again next year at 100-200 ! While the Chinese ones cost 25-50 only .. use & throw !! Buy new ones next year .. fresh & of newer design/style !! Why should we average/poorer Indians, specially the middle/lower-middle class people, fund the Inefficient Lalas of the country .. they anyways make 100-250% Profits to stay in Bunglows & drive fancy Cars anyways !!!! Have you ever seen a Poor Lala anywhere ????

If everything restricted. Why they will be in India. Why not we produce goods such that Walmart by it and sale. Farmers will be definitely benefited with the entry of Wallmart. APMCs in India looting farmers. Maharashtra Government stopped APMC activity.
