MISUSE OF PAYTM

MISUSE OF PAYTM BY SHOPKEEPER IN MATUNGA EAST
This has started happening to a lady customer and everyone should be careful about using paytm or any mobile wallet app. She was transferring some amount to Cheddha stores in Matunga East (Mumbai) after a purchase on 7th Dec at 8 pm She was asked to scan the QR code pasted in the reception. She did it but they said ' no madam the amount has not been transferred'. On further investigation she found out that they had deliberately given the QR code of a different phone number and checking the transaction on a diff phone number. She knew everything and literally caught them red handed. They were totally shaken when she literally grabbed the mobile and scanned a different QR code and proved to them that they were trying to cheat. When she called the phone number mentioned below the QR code a different phone rang. Other customers behind her who were less knowledgeable were astounded by this. I would request all users of paytm to scan the QR code of the mobile in their possession and NOT what is displayed. Also check the phone number below the QR code. Dial this number to verify that the said phone is ringing. This type of fraud can happen to you in taxis, shops or anywhere else. Please forward to all your friends and people to make them aware of the digital India and how they can get cheated.

Well the customer will bear all the hit. Poorer will become poor till he perishes. For Govt employees we are only paying so they are not affected. Whatever money is unearthed is done by raids, which could have been done without grabbing our hard earned taxed paid money. SAD PART IS GOVT CANNOT RUN THE PARLIAMENT EVEN FOR A SINGLE DAY. THEY COME ADJOURN THE DAY AND THEN MUST BE HAVING SUBSIZED MEALS AND GOING OUT SHOPPING. WHO PAYS FOR THAT WE. more
Most important to note in our PM and Government going in for cashless transactions. Who is going to bear the cost of the online transaction charges? Is it not increasing the cost of the product or service for those who want to go cashless? more
However, there must be very few honest ones like Chedda Stores, there must be many more who are there to dupe the innocent customer who is yet to learn the basics of doing online transactions. more
Well our PM must realize. It is very easy to say go cashless. Can the PM answer whom does customer approaches in such case? Inspite of all effort very less people are moving toward cashless system now. Govt has started giving lollipops. These will lead to nothing. PM must set up huge teams. to educate people, get systems develop which are really secure, give free data connection, give free mobiles, give free mobile access, ensure 24/7 power and connectivity. test these thing and then go big bang for cashless. more
the above is a classic example of genuine errors while changing peoples habits of buying & selling. I know Chheda stores very well & they do not indulge in such malpractices. But yes it was an honest mistake and we all learn from it. the storee has already issued official clarification in the same. more
