Mistake in spelling of name.
Hi, can anyone guide me how to change the spelling in my name in pf office? My name is spelt not even like a german language lol, all relevant documents were given and I am now running from pillar to post to change it. It is two years since the application has been submitted. Please help ! more

Gloria, this issue has been replied by many others besides myself.I as an employer have got more than 25 such cases of my employees sorted out in the last two months. If you could furnish more details like where is your PF office,your correct name with proof and your place of work and also the wrong name as it appears now, I can give you a draft of the letter to be signed jointly by you and your present employer, that can be sent/deposited in your PF office. more

Dear Gloria, As on date P.F. Office is operating on line, you may directly move your application to PF Office on their mail id and cc to your company HR who need to endorse the correction in your name. more

Dear Gloria mam, You may ask your Employer to give a letter in their office letterhead, addressing to The Commissioner of EPF office, mentioning your EPF No. stating that by oversight the name of the employee is mentioned in the records as (mention the name with WITH SPELLING MISTAKE) instead of (THE RIGHT SPELLING) and requesting them to amend the changes in all the records, You may also ask your employer to attached the supporting copies more

Gloria Mam, Please submit an application in your employer's Letter Head (company letter head) stating that by mistake there is a change in my name from --- to ----. So you are requested please change the name as Mrs._______________ in all records with you pertaining to her. You should also submit the Form-2 (revised) & copy of your identity proof/address proof alongwith the above application. It is advisable that all the above process will be done through your employer. You should always mark a copy to RPFC in all the above procedures more
