Misleading advertisements

I have noticed multiple toothpaste ads showing how toothpaste must be applied from one end to the other of the toothbrush.

Experts say that should not be the case and only pea sized tooth paste is sufficient.

Would such ads be classified as misleading ad under the new consumer protection act? more

There is a history, a marketing agent increased the sale by slightly increasing the diameter of toothpaste tube. It is only that now a days, due to lockdown, we have the tendency to observe. Else, who will watch those adds unless you are too lazy to fetch remote. more
It's an advertisement for a reason. It's a part of marketing. I think we should not look it as a tutorial video of how to use a toothpaste. :) more
I suggest the author visit three dentist in her area and take the advise from them as to how much tooth paste is to be used depending on the number of teeth she has. She should also challenge the advertisements of sanitary pads, dish washing soaps/liquids, detergents that washes stained clothes, and the whole lot of misleading advertisements. May be she missed them during the toilet break or chatting session. Try using neem stick, burnt paddy husk with pepper and salt, but don't ask BIS for specification of the neem stick and measured quantity of burnt paddy husk. During my research I found that the amount of tooth paste required depends how Big mouthed you are. To you I suggest a 250gm paste will last two days. more
Most of the T V Programs are running with the income from advertisements. Hence many a lousy advertisements becomes a compulsion. This is also a good source of income for Cine/sport and other personalities. more
