MISLEADING ADS

THIS IS A VERY SERIOUS MATTER.Being handicapped.I mostly rely on e.commerce even for daily needs,but somtimes the quality is so poor that one has to complain.I recently ordered and recd a 10 kg ATTA BAG FROM A RENOWNED COMPANY,BUT THE QUALITY WAS VERY POOR AND i ASKED FOR REPLACEMENT OR REFUND.i WAS ASTONISHED TO HEAR THE RPLY FROM THE AMAZON PORTAL;PLEASE ASK THE MANUFACUTUER.Has anybody ever been asked to contact the manufacturer,when we find bad quality products in the shop?But we feel lost and defeated to deal with these giants. more

This is NOT so much about the personal experience of Govind ji but typical of the way the sellers treat the customer. When you buy something at a shop or online portal, you do because you assume it is safe to buy from them. You pay a premium to them even though you can get the stuff locally from what you see as less trustworthy local or other sources at cheaper rates. Amazon can't treat customers in India like dirt. Its response to a US citizen would be totally different as there, it can face millions of dollars class law suits. Folks, please therefore assert your rights as a consumer rather than blaming yourselves victims like Govindji. In the US every supermarket has a 'returns ' counter where you can return purchases made and get cash refunds with no questions asked. Should we not have such facilities here? It should be mandatory for online firms to ensure refunds with no questions asked. Let us write to each of our area MPs or MLAs to raise this issue in Parliament and State assemblies, after all, they are paid to deal with public problems. more  
I returned few product (not food) to amazon, they taken back and refund it after 3 days. You should read the return policy of that product and act accordingly. While ordering we should open our eyes to read return policy. We should not purchase any item, which does not provide a min of 7 days return policy. more  
As per FSSAI, the manufacturer and DEALER are equally responsible. The CP judgements also say this. Unfortunately, AMAZON belongs to NEITHER. It is only a facilitatorand will escape action against them more  
Govind Perhsad-- Put your photo before you post any more pls? Any bad quality from any E-commerce service provider not only be returned but reported to the Ministry of Commerce or at Consumer Forums /Complaint Cell at the earliest. If reporting is not done than it shall continue for other consumer unstopped.Secondly with out reporting how the Govt could improve such services? more  
The Amazon cite won't have column for feed back where we can lodge the Complaint. They are saying anything on normal cite. The customer feed back to the manufacturer always on no reply cite. more
