Meetings - What not to do

Whether you are nervous or it is your habit, drumming your fingers on the table or desk irritates the other person. It also signifies you are impatiently waiting for the meeting to end.

Checking the wall clock or the watch constantly means, you are not showing any interest in what the other person has to say. The other person might take it as a rude gesture.

If you constantly check your phone or e-mail, you won’t be able to focus on your work. Your prospect might get an idea that you are not interested in the meeting.

It signifies you are neither focused nor paying attention to things that have been said or discussed. In fact, your appearance is putting off the person sitting in front of you. So, avoid it at all cost.

Rather than looking at your prospect, if you are looking at the wall or out of the window, this signifies you are neither listening to him nor paying attention. more  

No matter how much do's and dont are listed, sitting or benching in a meeting is not easy whether office or social meet. people are tend to get distracted, bored as its a common norm that beyond 4-5 hrs its difficult to concentrate. but yes, one has to learn how to control the actions which signals negative or bored status more
