MEDLIFE ONLINE PHARMACY A BIG FRAUD

This is with regards to monthly medicines for diabetes and BP as recommended by local physician in Chennai. Medlife is only an application who outsources medicines without knowing availability from different franchise partners. This causes frequent delivery delays apart from increasing price for final settlement even after online payment. Order No 03663FV - 011A ordered on 12 Jan with promise to deliver on 13 Jan initially was arranged delivered today however due to difference in hiked rates after online payment, refused delivery unless difference paid. Rs, 715.27 was final bill and during online payment through HDFC credit card, a refund (Cash back) was offered amounting to Rs. 615.27 but final bill during delivery was Rs. 725.66 and the vendor (franchise partner) asked to return medicines unless difference paid and forced to return. This is the fifth instance from Medlife and can prove order-wise if concerned authorities (IMA) willing to intervene in this unethical business practice

Under the above situation, in the event of emergent medicine, a customer will be forced to pay hiked difference when even a grocery online (with no urgency) mentions "out of stock" at the time of placing online order. This practice of looting under helpless situation must be stopped immediately upon intervention from IMA or any authorized body governing online medicines purchase and give respite to all innocent buyers concerned more

For your kind information, IMA has nothing to do with pharmacies or pharmaceutical companies or businesses. It is not a regulatory body and is not a government body. It is only a casual organisation of allopathic doctors. They have no authority by law to act on anyone, not even doctors. Even MCI or NMC have no authority on pharmacies or pharmaceutical companies. Please report to your local drug inspector. more
Instead of online purchasing of medicines, you can get a discount up to 10% on MRP if you purchase your requirements from a specific medical shop. Have a try next time at a local shop of your choice. more
Sir, it is not the duty of IMA. The drug controllers and commerce ministry must look in to the problem of exploitation by the e-commerce outlet. The idea of online selling of drugs is not safe for all . more
I have faced this with Medlife. They take the order with great enthusiasm, but the problems start after that. One fellow will call to say that one particular medicine is NOT in stock. So? Nothing. The customer has to find out ways. They will never send all the medicines together. One advise: never pay them in advance, even though one may be missing out on 2% extra discount. more
Stop ordering from Medlife as they have made it a regular practice/business practice to book order at one price and charging higher price at the time of delivery more
