Employees Provident Fund Organisation is likely to increase the maximum insurance cover for subscribers under the Employees' Deposit Linked Insurance Scheme. If implemented, the maximum insurance coverage could go up from Rs 3.6 lakh to Rs 5.5 lakh. more

Yes ,EPFO must bring transperancy in routine operation first . EPS 1995 is just insufficient and the Pension calculated wef 16 /11.1995 onward till date of retirement . ,Now EPFO has granted waightage of 2 years waightage to those employees retired on or before 24 /07/2009 on completion of 58 years as per SC Judgemwnt in Civil Appeal no 30844/2010 and EPFO Munistry of Labour and Employment Exchange Govt Of India NewDelhi vide letter no Pension /A&C no 867-880/2012/NCDRCDRC/KN - Kalurappa/10717 Dated 28.11.2013 Pension to. be calculated giving 2years waightage as above ,gives benefits of Rs 186 /-only What in total to say that the amount of Pension is quite inadequate . more

The tone and contents of most posts on this subject leave no one in doubt that EPFO is an organisation in need of sweeping reforms. Such a reforms are, in the present context and for obvious reasons, not feasible in house. The appropriateness of a thorough scrutiny by a reputed external non governmental professional agency of all accounts held and disposed of by the organisation is the need of the hour. This step should either follow or precede the re organisation of the EPFO. more

Somebody has to bell the cat, in the sense EPFO has to be made accountable, responsible, and transparent in their activities to make the employees more happy. Find the solutions of the unclaimed money to be settled to the concern employee or the nominee in time. more

Ha! how odes it matter? once you are not getting your own hard earned money from this worst and corrupt organization they know that the way they have accumulated lacs of crores unclaimed money, it will also get added to that. In fact that is not unclaimed money lying with EPFO it is the money which was not given to the claimant on one or other pretext and fellows died trying to get there money. There is no reason to be happy. First make EPFO clean responsible and transparent organisation and then you have reason to be happy. more
