Citizens must cooperate with the central & state governments by following covid norms. Wearing mask is individuals responsibility and everyone must adhere to. Washing hands with soap at regular intervals and as soon as on returning homes. Due to density of population in India, maintaining social distancing is a herculean task but should not take lame excuse. Ensuring social distancing at market place is remote possibility. However, at shops, it should be strictly enforced whereas it is not the case. Shop-keepers are not bothered. Same as the case in public transport and controlling/monitering the passengers is a big task. Of course, wearing mask is possible for which passengers must cooperate. First and foremost, vaccination would go in long way to arrest the spread of the virus to a very great extent. In Maharashtra, it is very poor. Number of centers are less compared to population & density. Secondly, though centre has cleared for 24 x 7 service, same is not followed anywhere. Of coures, round the clock service is not necessary but atleast centers can work from 7 AM to 11 PM. In actual situation vaccination is administrated only between 10 AM to 5 PM. Hence long queues at all centers. Adding fuel to the fire is the shortage of vaccines. Again government apps are not designed to schedule time for vaccination for every individual. There is option for forenoon/afternoon which leads to long queue putting especially seniors in trouble to wait in hot sun. In view of this centers follow token system which one has to go early in the morning to get the same and come back again for vaccine at the time as informed at the time of collection of token. This leads to long waiting hours and one has to go the centers twice, wasting time and energy. Will LC take up this issue on war-footing with the government for a resolution. Further, vulnerables like job-goers, slum dwellers, home servants etc need to be vaccinated on priority to arrest the spread. So in a nutshell, opening more centers, extending vaccination time period without interval and holidays, designing the option to schedule time in the app, uninterrupted supply of vaccine will go in long way in the success of this great mission. Again, vial must be opened only if there are 10 people are there for vaccination at a given point of time to avoid vaccine wastage.

Irrespective of whatever regulations are in place or not, public should wear mask properly maintain social distancing. If rigid regulations are imposed, there won't have public gathering for holy playing., which goes on as usual.

According to experts on the subject, it will increase further if people in general do not follow covid protocol. It is the duty of of local authority/govt and NGOs to take all steps including administrative measures to prevent spread.
