UNTIL THE CENTER NOTIFIES RULES 2018 PERMITTING SALE OF DRUGS THROUGH e-PHARMACIES :
This is in response to the petition filed by the Tamilnadu Chemists & Druggist Association.
As the rules permitting the sales on line remained in the formative stage since 2011,
the JUDGE DIRECTED THE CENTER TO FRAME RULES AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE .
We are yet to know if the aggrieved consumers will knock the portals of the S.C. to stay . more

Online Pharmacies are 1, giving Door delivery. 2. Giving good discounts Even the local medical shops sell medicines without prescription. Who verifies prescription was verified or not. more
Yes, this all ban is a planned action by pharma and dealers who are severly impacted by well being of common public who has been given great relief by these E-Pharmacies in way of better prices. Upto 30% discount is something really gives a lot of relief to your medical budget. more
Since the ban has been inflicted temporarily, our affected members need not worry. Once appropriate rules are made to discipline the online medicine traders, the ban is expected to be lifted. The government should initiate immediate necessary steps in this regard. more

The Pros & cons of online pharmacies is quite a Debatable one , as is evident from the comments here. No doubt there has to be regulations regarding the Sale of Schedule H,H1 and X Drugs , and also a qualified/ Certified person billing . The Honourable Judge herself has directed the Center to notify the rules as early as Possible , not later than January 31st . So the ball is in the court of the Center to make up the decision. more
The pharmaceuticals price drugs at exorbitantly high and certain e-pharmacies and e-agencies which get the drugs give a share of their discount to consumers who order online and hence the customers are benefited. If the GOI passes the bill banning the epharmacies to sell the drugs online, then the Govt must put cap on the prices of various drugs that the pharmaceuticals manufacture. These producers cheat the consumers by increasing the prices periodically without any rime or reason even once in a month. Hence price control for all drugs must be imposed simultaneously. more
