Lowering cost of medical care/hospitals

I urge all members of this circle to read the attached backgrounder about cost of medical care in regards to Covid and then let us brainstorm how can we lower cost of medical care and hospitalisation in India.

This circle can do better and more efficient brainstorming than Govt of India and surveys can bring data points. This disparity between income and cost of good medical care is big trouble as things stand today more

While focusing on treatment and its cost we overlook how we get into that situation. Prevention is any day better than cure. So we should first try and prevent getting ill. If we follow our age old system of diet and life style of early to bed and early to rise and perform structured exercise as routine most of the problems would be eliminated. This may not be possible for those who are working in shifts and they have to find a suitable program for their schedule. Hospitalization costs are high but then why cant GOVT. offer a low cost hospitalization to facilitate poor citizens. No doubt that hospitals are taking unreasonably high profits but then so are other professionals. Why single out Hospitals only? It will be unfair. To make treatment and Hospitalization cheaper we must produce quality equipment and medicines in our country to get it at low cost. GOVT. had been talking of generic medicines which are much much cheaper than branded medicines, but they have not been able to introduce those in GOVT. and Public Sector Hospitals because of possibly vested interests of Politicians and Executives. Yes, Yes, this is to me like the red alert in personal care factors . I've been reviewing my own personal, private and secret anti-carona protective measures in force at the command of my will power besides the added advantages of public and common mandatory remedial measures in force since March . Also, in my medicinal explorations locally recently through my visitations , debates and discussions , I have come across a wonder anti-carona Nature's product information. Please see attached picture of information , namely, the fruit of Papaya with the leaf-juice of Papaya with following benefits . 1. Effective for Immunity improvement 2. Elimination of Fever attacks 3. Defeating Swine Flu due to H1N1 Virus (must be anti-viral to the carona viruses too ). 4. Defeating Dengue 5. Defeating Influenza 6. Defeating Common Colds 7. Defeating Allergies 8. Defeating blood impurities 9. Defeating skin infections 10. Defeating Stress 11. Defeating Liver disorder What more one can expect from Nature's Papayas in these days and times of Covid-19 ??? more
The rates are no doubt exorbitant in many states. The lowest appears in Bihar, Jharkhand and Orissa. The Health Minister should take up this issue and standardise the rates, just as cost of medicines are standardised. On Tue, 13 Oct 2020, 23:15 Mala Sehgal, wrote: > more
Like many other systems , our medical system needs a lot of change Govt and non profit organisations should enter the field to improve the system more
If you feel unwell, it is better to take a chest x-ray than a CT scan. The x-ray shows unusual formation if covid 19 is present. Why cannot the municipalities issue notices to property tax defaulters and if possible if the dues are not paid, take over the property. Similarly, electricity bills if not paid, the power can be cut and the meter removed. They have the authority if not the will. more
