Low voter turnout in Noida and GZB

Saturday was bad day to have polling. A lot of people went for long weekends. Lot of people didnt have their names in list. Lot of well to do people dont get out for the fear of lines. Ideas for next time or other cities where polling still to be done:
1) Make polling on regular weekeday
2) Dont let people travel out of town night before unless emergency with proof
3) Give real time update on waiting time by booth
4) make getting voter id card easily (online with aadhar)
5) find a way for migrant population with election card still in UP to vote
6) Target should be 80% minimum more

I voted without any problem,may be people may not have voted because of week end. more

So many people active & complaining now... Wish they would have done it a week before so that possibly something could have been done... more

Then I guess only DM Mr. N P Singh can answer about this thing. What is govt. machinery doing regarding this? Why is there so much mismatch between 2 govt. records (Aadhar vs. Voter's ID Card) and no co-ordination between govt. depts. (UIDAI vs. NPR)? Why don't both be merged and why do we have to have 2 different ID cards? Why is Aadhar not enough? I understand Aadhar Card data has anomalies as raised by Mr. Amit Chaudhary. I am just a citizen as anybody like you. more

@ Ashish Patni - I have done all this. the name of some other person is visible when I put my voter id card number. That is why I applied for new card. I also took the pains of searching our names in the EC website and also visited polling both, in case I missed. While going through the lists , I discovered only the name of the neighbors who got card made recently could be seen. more
