Lots of SPAM messages in BSNL mobile numbers, DND is farce
My BSNL WB mobile number 9434...567 is still flooded with unwanted, annoying Spam SMS though it is registered in DND registry since the beginning. Numerous complaints in all modes- letter, email, tweet, facebook post to all levels even DOT, TRAI, PM failed.
The same with my son's mobile number 890....42924.
BSNL doesn't take any proper steps to stop spam SMS. What can be the remedy?

Visakhapatnam: now a days people or companies stopped hearing peoples requests. you continue with them as long as your satisfied otherwise change the operator, because they don'd bother one customer goes away. There are many alternatives. Earlier companies and their employees used to respect the customer, now that has gone. There is no exception for government or private, all are same.

This is not only with BSNL, its with every operator. I have airtel number and the case is same as yours. Actually government has provided the number for calling for all ads etc starts with 0140.... and the dnd registry is integrated with this number series only. If you get any call from a mobile number then that is through either a fake sim purchased by calling company or from a GSM gateway which is a illegal entity in telecom sector.

The only choice would be to move out of BSNL. They have been like this and it is part of their grain; organization culture does not change overnight.

We all, either all of us at the same time or separately boycott one day in a week or in a month mobile/telephone or avoid recharging post/prepaid at least once, then BSNL may wake up but Spamsters may not. This is my problem as well. Therefore, I directly request the Chairman, TRAI, to take a bit of strong action and also get the performance of the workers posted on duty of attending to SMS messages under DND. It is a big nuisance.
