Lombard like situation in Delhi

Some Doctors in Delhi are saying “ It is a Lombardi like situation. We are triaging patients and we have no ventilators for all the patients who need it. We will soon have to let some patients go” It's happening. And we did not prepare enough for it.

If 59% in Delhi are saying lock the heck down what are CM and LG waiting for. 100% to say it???

Lockdown will be very bad for the poor people who live from day to day earnings. I wonder why people can't limit their movements to absolutely essentials only without govt telling them. In my opinion, what govt must do is encourage research on the preventive methods for new strains and establish methodology for certifications of items meant to be used for COVID preventions like masks. For selecting a good mask we have to rely on the word of mostly profit hungry manufacturer. People are wearing two masks going by social media posts from unreliable sources. And there are conflicting reports on ways this virus spreads, by surface or by air. Govt authorities need to clear the doubts. more
If it is necessary why not govt is going for Lock dowen. more
follow the Brits. They've been eminently successful. 1. complete lockdown foe 45 days 2. massive fines for non-compliance with Covid norms i.e. breaking curfew, not wearing masks, social distancing being ignored etc 3. Long Jail sentences if fines dont work 4. Use LOCKDOWN period to vaccinate house-to-house 5. Deny many amenities to those refusing vaccination Britain has brought down their COVID load from over 50,000 cases per day to less than 500 more
But this type of situation is very good for medical related businesses more
