I have stopped following the numbers, knowing that we can't do much about it EXCEPT to take precautions as per the instructions of the Health Ministry at the Centre and the States. Unfortunately people have thrown all these precautions to winds and are moving around as if everything is normal. Its because of this attitude that numbers in Karnataka and more so Bangalore are rising exponentially. While there is a fine of Rs.500/- on the persons not wearing the Masks while being out from their homes, BUT whats actually happening - the Corrupt Police Personnel are making it another tool of making money. On Top of it people are throwing the roads just for nothing. UNLESS the people start taking responsibility nothing will happen, whatever the Government may do and at the last we will see people abusing the State Government while they themselves are responsible for the situation we are into. more
It will come under control only when everyone is following precautions like wearing a mask, keep social distancing, avoiding crowds, avoiding staying in rooms without proper ventilation, avoiding ac rooms, taking precautions whenever meeting relatives/friends/servants/bodyguards/drivers, etc, Until then the statistics will go on growing. Chances of catching the virus is less than one percent if these precautions are taken. more
Thank you for scaring me early Sunday morning.By knowing the statistics of various districts I am richer by 22Mb in General Knowledge. It looks like the people who flout every rule the health authorities issue are from moon or from other unexplored planets. They can not be the proud, intelligent, culturally and socially advanced Kannadiga. They will even sacrifice their life for COVID-19 to prove their love for Karnataka. Keep the mask around your neck, helmet on your left shoulder, after coffee at a Darshini assemble (huddle) together to discuss about Ladakh, sit on the veranda of a closed shop and read news paper with two to three people sharing over the anchors shoulder, even if you don't eat cucumber ask the price of all vegetables to the vendors lined up on the parking area, spit without looking front, side, behind forcibly that might cross a meter, and blow the rest in the atmosphere, take away sanitizers home, take the dog "for a walk" and make sure poop is right in the middle of the footpath while the man/woman on the leash reading whatsapp messages, oblivious that the dog urinated on his/her leg thinking it is bush. PLEASE "QUADRUPLE LOCK DOWN" EVERY TWO WEEKS TILL NO CASES ARE REPORTED(MAY BE 2024) AND THE VIOLATORS MUST BE CANED IN PUBLIC (DO NOT SEND THEM TO JAIL OR FINE THEM). more
Am sorry to say that we Indian's do not follow instructions and the rule of law,are more interested in finding excuses to bypass the law. more
Lockdowns are temporary measures. Unless we are able to follow rules after the lockdown, the lockdown will only postpone the inevitable. Yesterday evening there were so many people playing (lot without masks) in HMT Cricket Ground and HMT Stadium in Jalahalli. It's my understanding that these are not allowed in Bangalore. Maybe distribution of masks, soap and hand sanitizer should be carried out along with action against blatant violators. This will buy us time again but without support from the residents of Bangalore, will again only be temporary. more
