Johnson & Johnson shampoo is carcinogenic

Looks like attached notification shared in consumers circle about Johnson & Johnson shampoo being found to have cancer causing ingredient formladehyde is true and so scary. We really need some active circle for such subjects where the drug regulators are also connected. Read below:

A random test conducted on two batches of Johnson & Johnson's baby shampoo samples in Rajasthan has found traces of the chemical formaldehyde, a known carcinogen.

This comes just a few months after the authorities launched an investigation into J&J's Baby Powder to see if it contains cancer-causing asbestos. J&J said in late February it had resumed production of baby talc after government tests found no asbestos in the product.

Twenty-four bottles of J&J baby shampoo were tested randomly from the two batches, officials said.

There is a presence of formaldehyde, a chemical used as a preservative. Johnson & Johnson is now claiming they have not used formaldehyde in the product, but it's showing up in the test," said Raja Ram Sharma, Drug Controller of Rajasthan.

"We cannot tell how much percentage of formaldehyde has shown up in the test, but now since the company has challenged it, the samples will be sent for further test to a central drug laboratory," Mr Sharma said.

J&J should have serious consequences first faulty hip products then cancer causing shampoo. I guess rest products remain to be tested. more

To day the suffering of people are increased due to cancer and we hear many suffering from it. It is the MNC s who want to gain more profit than the normal business are all using many cheap cancer causing raw materials. Business ethics must prevail over their action and must act to safeguard and protect the interest of consumers. more
When we know about Johnson & Johnson products must we use these simply because they are imported ! more
It is a mystery to me as to why well-educated people run after foreign products when they have been exposed so widely by so many celebrities ? Patanjali have offered excellent products so that we are in a position to banish MNC products, Swami Ramdeva exposes their dirty policies so often, Rajiv Dixit sacrificed his life in exposing enemies of the nation and Sanatana Dharma...still The Educated Idiots Of India refuse to listen to them, continue following the same old rut and continue wailing. MNCs are unadulterated looters of the country. Japanese always used their brands even if inferior due to their patriotism and became an economic superpower. Are we willing to take any lesson from them ? Missionaries are busy converting poor Hindus to grab resources of the country and Hindu idiots are singing songs of secularism / universalism.....it is a long tale of cries and tears. more
The technological advance in mechanics of the 19th century was overtaken by advances in "chemistry" and "biochemistry", resulting in a plethora of chemicals in everything we humans use. There has not been and there still isn't adequate supervision and control from the world's Governments. more
Do we need any shampoo or talc at all. I have not used any powder or bath soap for years now and do not have any skin problem. I use either lemon juice or Amla powder for cleaning my body. If I have any prickly heat, as the summers are going to start, I apply ice to my body before bath and the prickly heat problem is not there for 8-10 days. No need of applying any THanda-thanda, cool-cool on the body. more
