If one feels that a jeweller has cheated them on the weight of gold recovered in extraction from an ornament and what was put into a new ornament, who can we file a complaint with. Does the consumer affairs department have a set of rules? more

Silver ornaments are prepared by adding impurities, which are cheaper than the pure metal, to make silver stronger and abrasion resistant. However, such additions are not accounted in compensation in pricing. A set of regulations are required similar to Gold Jewelries. more

I wish to know if the customers can insist and get a written value of purity of silver items in their bills? I was declined any statement of silver purity in the items I purchased recently. more

Of course. you can complain in the District Consumer Forum for unfair trade practice.But make sure you have the receipt for the old ornament that was taken and melted by the merchant and new ornament was given after adjusting the sale value of the former. more
