It has been a year I am raising issue of road transport with local authorities regarding satay of property and life which is falling on deaf ears. Unfortunately recent loss of many lives in road accident near Corlim Old Goa will cause some action in departments. Govt of Goa should come down heavily on immunized and mini trucks / tippers responsible for maximum accidents and loss of lives. No brake lights,indicators,headlights,number plates, sudden stoppages ,rash over taking ,over loading, improper covering of goods while transporting, trucks ferrying beyond normal time limits these are the main issues which should be handled firmly. more

Within couple of days of my this posting I do see police checking trucks on Marcel Banastari route. Could it be credited to Local circle. Great more

To add the list of road safety issue ,in my area Sattari-Amona -Marcela -Corlim belt recently there is many fold increase in sand, crushed stones, laterite stones transport . This activities are evident in form of spillage on these roads because of overloading, overspeeding and improper cover and driving in rash manner under influence of alcohol that too beyond normal allowed time of transport. These things are causing damage to Amona bridge if someone visit it will come to know. One can see spillage on road, empty can /bottles,rusting of structure . I would like to request authorities to visit Amona bridge inspect it ,install flash cameras for speed,load,improper cover and get the findings. I don't know how much sand excavation is allowed per day but I do see on an average 300-400 trips of trucks/minitrucks/heavy trucks carrying 5- 10cu meter per load. Will any body take the shot? more
