Issues of Consumers

Some members in this circle are raising an objection as to why LocalCircles Manager is taking up issues of call drops against Vodafone, Airtel and Jio. Recently It was issue raised by Mr. Vijayaraghavan.

Sir with all due respect I beg to differ. I reside in Sector 82 Noida and let me tell you it is so hard to get mobile coverage in my home and many others and this applies to Airtel Vodafone even Jio that is new in some parts. I dont see any news paper taking this up perhaps because these companies give ads. If the circle manager is taking up the issue of call drop and call connection, it is atleast giving my problem a voice. These companies could care less.

Similarly u raised issue of amazon and ecommerce. Perhaps u are new to this circle but this circle including yours truly has been very vocal in e-commerce issues. Its becoz of our efforts here that ecommerce sites like amazon and flipkart show mrp. I dont think the circle manager or members here are just plain critics of ecommerce. In fact during lockdown many of us survived due to ecommerce sites so its wrong of u to say that anyone here is against certain companies or even indicate that Jio is being favoured or traders are being favoured.

This is my feedback. U may like it or not but I have been with these circles since 2013 and will continue to till i feel it cares about common people and raises my concerns.

All the best to you. Pranam! more

Drop All Calls of Mobile. I guess with judiciary not wanting to get involved in Telecom circles dog-fight and Vodafone which recently won a suit in International Court against Government of India may not be willing to work in an unhealthy environment and pull out. So Airtel & Jio would be only players left. You can be sure that in future the consumers would be at the mercy of either of the winners and just like the Petrol prices which hardly had any consumer voices (No option) similarly people will have to pay silently. more
Agreed, call drops have gone up. Mobile operators are few with large consumer base. They do not have enough towers in each area to improve quality of calls. Erecting a tower is not cheap and is viable only if they have fair amount of customers in a particular area. Due to lesser profits and more cost, You have seen merger of VI and Airtel- Docomo. So need to have a couple of more operators in fray as competition is not fierce with existing players. They also have to abide by trai rules. Phone tapping and internet hacking cases are also prevalent as I have been a victim of these for many years in Ahmedabad. Banned softwares are used to tap and hack smart phones by criminals. If it is officially done, then tainted politicians are involved. This is India with 130 cr people. We have more power centers. It happens only in India and you do not have any proof for these cyber crimes. more
I feel Mr Chopra's approach should be appreciated. Call drop is a menace all over NOIDA. more
Also on news papers. Most of them have sold a part of their soul. Tv channels have sold everything atleast thats what it seems more
I agree. I find the approach unbiased and generally pro consumers and small business. more
