Is something wrong with Govt Covid 19 labs

Centre has done a lab wise assessment of COVID positive cases and found that private run labs are clocking 3 times positive test rate than Govt labs

Govt lab-5%-6% positive rate
Pvt lab- 16-17%

Is it because Govt labs have old outdated equipment or is it because Private labs are earning private hospitals referral fee.

Whatever it is must be fixed more

We could even Infer ,that the Govt. testing is Number of Target driven and and not perfectly focused on the the susceptible group exposed . It is also free . Private testing is charged on the Testee ; so the patients referred may have symptoms to clinch the positivity . Tamilnadu has a total of 10 to 11,000 test per day . The positive cases reported are 6.5 to 7.5 % . But as of now majority is donefree and on the traced contracts . First it was the Delhi event contact tracing , now the Koyambedu whole sale market cluster contacts aregoing on . It is also time for the third one the the crowding and jostling on 6, 7th May when booze shops were opened . But the care is good they are discharged bang on the 7th to 14th day . A very good diet schedule formed by Chief Dietician is strictly followed during treatment. more
Refer the link below for the table of positive cases percentage found through testing by country as summarized in Wikipedia: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/COVID-19_testing If the 16-17% number by private labs. is correct then we may be heading towards a serious situation. This certainly needs to be investigated on priority by ICMR. more
