IRCTC package tour

Good morning. I am evaluating visit to Kerala through IRCTC in package tour. Has any member used IRCTC Package tour ? It will be a big help if members can comment on good and not so good experiences in any package tour of IRCTC. Thanks in advance. more

Asking for a written quotation from IRCTC is like knocking at the door of a Babu's cabin. They always want to do things verbally on phone, of which there's no record as back up or referral....... more

I had used IRCTC package only once for Katra-Srinagar-Gulmarg-Sonamarg-Pahalgam. It was not a group tour... only my family of three.. self, wife and daughter.. It was nice..Never had any issues. Arrangements were good.. more

I am a keralite, I don't know what attracts you to Kerala. It has the worst roads in the country, road accidents are very high due to bad road design and maintenance, any time you can expect hartal or strikes, always uncertainty. Most part of Kerala is stinky, inland waters are very polluted, if something happens and falls to lake, 90% chance you die because of polluted water. If there was good visionary leadership and government caring nature, environment and a wish for a good infrastructure, it could be one of the best places in Asia. Nothing runs in time in the state. I lived in many cities outside India and abroad, I feel sad that I came back to Kerala. I think, if you have some source of regular income, in other states life is peaceful and tension free. In Kerala if something goes wrong then your hard time starts. Ok tc more
