IPCC findings and urgent neeed to cut emissions

The latest climate change or IPCC report says From heat passing the limits of human survivability, food and water scarcity, higher sea levels to severe economic damage, India will be seriously harmed if emissions are not cut. It says rice yield will fall by 9% and maize by 17%.

So far there are literally no actions by central or state Government.

Can we aware and active citizens put together concrete actions that must be taken to reduce emissions like this year. more

Everything is possible but it needs own self less impartial senses, realization and responsibilities which may be through proper education. Penalty is not a solution of crime(s), violation of laws and illegal activities. more
For politicians, winning elections is most important and rest is secondary. No one wants to take tough measures to contain air n water pollution as it will annoy their vote bank. Instead they support those who violate the rules on various lame e excuses. more
Everyone knows about this. Though everyone also knows that the problem is created by USA and the western countries. Further the important thing is what is our individual contribution for such problems or even what is OUR SUGGESTION about what should be done? more

How can we feed the world without devouring the planet? G George Monbiot | Guardian Live info@email.theguardian.com Hide details To: kaushikkd.vyas@gmail.com Date: March 3, 2022, 12:32 AM Hello, On Monday 30 May I will be joining Guardian Live for an event to discuss one of the greatest challenges humanity faces: how to feed the world while preventing climate and ecological breakdown. You can join me in conversation with Lucy Siegle in person in Kings Place in London, or online via the livestream. Farming is the world's greatest cause of environmental destruction - we criticise urban sprawl, but farming sprawls across thirty times as much land. We have ploughed, fenced and grazed great tracts of the planet, felling forests, killing wildlife, and poisoning rivers and oceans to feed ourselves. Yet millions still go hungry. What if there were a way to transform what we eat and how we grow it, while at the same time fighting the climate emergency and global hunger? For the past few years I have been seeking out the people who are unlocking revolutionary methods in food production. My new book, Regenesis, draws on troves of new research to describe a new system, that would restore large areas of our land to the wild, draw down carbon, and give everyone access to healthy and affordable food. You can book tickets and find out more information here. I do hope you can join us. Best wishes George more
Could you please first suggest what actions are to be taken. ? Simply by repeating such quotes from a sensational reports based on some hypothetical reasoning, Global warming is for the globe n not only for India. Has any time US has ever agreed to the resolutions passed in any of the world climate change sumits? The carbon foot prints vis-a-vis population n the land available for each by geographical formation of each nation's boundaries . It seems the initiator of this topic here is not reading or the actions proposed to reduce emissions by the present Govt. Please first di little homework n not jump on to any such biased reports or studies, Thanks more
