Institutions like NRDC ; NPL ; NCL ; NRL ; RRLs ; DRDL ; DMRL ; DLRL ; ERDC ; or in precise , are to be established modifying the goal to the present Digital development please . There are many Skilled Technicians even unqualified but best in Technonology utilization but under diversified interests . more
The central govt must open a office and on line portal inviting all new ideas from common people with minimal technical knowledge to post their ideas and show their low cost equipment and see their performance from many .They must be funded and supported or introduced to venture capitalists to develop low cast innovations easily adoptable to our communities. Eg dredging equipment for removal of water weed hyacinth by a electrician, machanic ,was seen but not supported .It need not be a big high Brow dept like RAnd D but a simple rikshaw working on air . Encouragement for common people to present their ingenious innovations must be opened . more
Quota based selection of scientists in R&D organisation will not take us anywhere....simple lets privatize all the R&D institutes..see the result more
There is basically no scientific culture in the country. Scientific thinking is discouraged. We like believing in superstitions and don't question our practices. People like to invest money in real estate or buying property, gold etc rather than pursue any technical hobbies. Only way to change is to make people interested in science from school level. And our big corporates like reliance are interested only in money making, no R&D whatsoever. They just buy and sell stuff. Government should give incentives to companies investing in R&D and inventing stuff through patents. Government should not directly invest in R&D as the researchers in those institutes become government employees and start behaving like bureaucrats than scientists. more
