Inputs for election campaining

more

Arvind Kejriwal Slams Media, Says People of Delhi Are Happy With Government All India | Press Trust of India | Updated: May 11, 2015 00:19 IST Arvind Kejriwal Slams Media, Says People of Delhi Are Happy With Government New Delhi: Stating that he doesn't care about the media, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on Sunday said that if election is held in the national capital today, the Aam Aadmi Party would poll 72 per cent votes. "Whatever comes in the media, but I conduct a survey every 15 days of my party in Delhi. If elections are conducted in the national capital, then we are ought to get 72 per cent votes. After the elections, our condition has improved a lot," Mr Kejriwal said, while interacting with party volunteers through a Google Hangout. The Delhi Chief Minister also took a dig at the Narendra Modi-led central government, saying "normally, it is seen that parties win the election, but gradually people get fed up of them. The biggest example of this is the Modi Government at the Centre". Arvind Kejriwal said: "Their popularity has decreased from the time they came to power. But our popularity has increased and today if elections are conducted in Delhi then we will get 72 per cent votes according to our survey," he said. In the last Assembly elections, the AAP polled 54.59 per cent. Mr Kejriwal said the AAP government is going to complete 100 days in its office on May 24 while the Modi government will complete its one year on May 26. "I think there should be comparison of work between Modi's and our governments. There should be comparison as to what we have done in the last 100 days and what Modi's government has done in the last one year," he also said. Attacking the media, the Delhi Chief Minister said, "Media keep showing us in negative light but don't worry about that as people of Delhi is happy with. Despite seeing media, people gave us 67 seats." "As far as starting a media house is concerned, we don't want to do that. There are good people in media too, who are not happy. If some senior people come together and want to start a news channel or newspaper, the government will definitely help them. We also want an honest media house which only shows news," he said. THE WHOLE COUNTRY REALLY FEELS PROUD OF OUR PM, MODI........ Purti Group firm violated norms for subsidy from Centre: CAG report The audit found that the borrower did not comply with the conditions for interest subsidy. By: Express News Service | New Delhi | Published on:May 1, 2015 2:44 am A CAG report tabled in Lok Sabha on Thursday has flagged non-compliance by Purti Sakhar Karkhana Limited (PSKL) — a bagasse based co-generation project of the Purti Group in which Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari was once a board member — of conditions for interest subsidy extended to it by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy (MNRE). According to the CAG report on “Financing of Renewable Energy Projects by Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency Limited (IREDA)”, in the case of PSKL, the ministry sanctioned Rs 1.92 crore as interest subsidy. Against this, the ministry released Rs 1.37 crore in June 2004 to IREDA on net present value-basis for disbursement to the borrower, PSKL. The audit found that the borrower did not comply with the conditions for interest subsidy that stipulated the renewable energy project was to operate for a minimum of 10 years after its completion. The project, which was to be commissioned in February 2004, but finally commissioned in March 2007, in June 2009 over to 100 per cent coal-based operation as against up to 25 per cent allowed in the subsidy scheme. Moreover, though the loan became a non-performing asset in March 2007, the actual benefit from the subsidy amounting to Rs 1.66 crore — including an interest subsidy of Rs 1.17 crore and accrued interest of Rs 49 lakh thereon — was passed on till December 2009. Unutilised interest subsidy of Rs 22 lakh was refunded to the ministry in August 2010. The CAG found: “The borrower settled its outstanding dues by way of OTS (one-time settlement) in December 2009 for an amount of Rs 71.35 crore against Rs 84.12 crore, but IREDA did not initiate any action for recovery of the interest subsidy of Rs 1.66 crore. Thus, though the borrower violated the terms and conditions for subsidy schemes, IREDA continued giving subsidy.” According to the CAG report, the IREDA management stated in April 2014 that PSKL settled the account with it and paid the entire loan outstanding as per OTS sanction, and that the implementation of the project was delayed due to various reasons. On the use of coal for operation of the plant, the management stated that the same needs to be seen on the entire fuel mix used during entire period and not at a particular point of time. The IREDA management stated that the subsidy of Rs 1.17 crore was passed on to PSKL till the time it settled the dues, and for the remaining period of the loan, the subsidy that was not passed on to PSKL was refunded to the ministry. As per the national auditor, IREDA further stated that any account becoming an NPA does not necessarily require that the interest subsidy will not be passed. In this case, PSKL paid its dues as per OTS norms. The subsidy was passed up to the quarter ending September 2009. IREDA also stated that the project had been commissioned and not abandoned requiring the interest subsidy to be recalled. “The reply of the management may be seen in the context that avoiding default on repayment by the borrower and limited deviation from renewable energy sources (up to 25 per cent) were important components of the scheme, and as such, IREDA cannot change/interpret specific conditions for grant of subsidy of GOI schemes. Further, the OTS proposal was sanctioned on the ground that the project was no longer an RE (renewable energy) project,” the CAG stated. Purti Group could not be reached for comment. For PM, Advice To Avoid Ministers With Criminal Cases: 10 Facts File pic: PM Narendra Modi and his Cabinet after being sworn in New Delhi: The Supreme Court today stopped short of disqualifying ministers with criminal cases, leaving the decision to the "wisdom of the Prime Minister", but made it clear that such ministers have no place in the government. The court said as conscience keeper of the Constitution, the PM must avoid taking ministers involved in serious offences. Here is your 10-point cheat-sheet to the story: 1. A Constitution bench of the country's five senior most senior judges said it is not for the court to issue any direction to the PM or Chief Ministers, but "it is the prophetic duty of this court to remind the key duty holders about their role in working the Constitution." 2. The court said it expected the PM to act with "constitutional morality and responsibility" and choose not to take ministers with doubtful integrity. 3. "Will any reasonably prudent master leave the keys of his chest with a servant whose integrity is doubted?" the judges asked, adding, "Corruption is an enemy of the nation. As a trustee of the Constitution, the PM is expected not to appoint unwarranted persons as ministers." 4. Today's ruling was on a petition that sought to bar MPs with "criminal backgrounds", including those charged but not convicted, from being appointed ministers at the Centre and in states. 5. India bans those convicted of serious crimes from holding office, but not those facing charges. 6. Prime Minister Narendra Modi's BJP won a massive mandate to take power in May, partly on a promise of a clean government after the previous Congress-led administration was weighed down by corruption charges. 7. Thirteen of PM Modi's 45 ministers have been charged with criminal offences, eight of those involving serious charges, according to the Delhi-based Association of Democratic Reforms, a clean government advocacy group. 8. There are 13 cases against Water Resources and Ganga Rejuvenation Minister Uma Bharti, including two charges related to attempted murder and six charges of rioting. 9. MPs say charges against them are false or the result of political vendetta. Those convicted of crimes have traditionally continued in office by filing an appeal in India's notoriously slow courts. 10. In a landmark judgement last year, the Supreme Court ruled that MPs sentenced to more than two years in jail should be disqualified, even if they have appealed to a higher court. The UPA's bid to undo that with an ordinance fell through. Subrata Guha more

Call for all the selfless volunteers who have been ignored by the elected MLAs or nominated candidates so that the campaign can be best. These volunteers worked with full heart but during passing of time were ignored by the elected MLAs or nominated candidates keeping in mind their political career. Now most of dedicated volunteers are seating at their home being feeling guilty due to ignorance. So once again call for all volunteers and give up all self interests. 2015-01-13 14:07 GMT+05:30 Sunil Dutt Agrawal : > more
