Infrastructure projects and Traffic snarls
In Mumbai, Thane and Navi Mumbai there are many infrastructure projects undertaken by the various authorities, simultaneously. e.g. Fly Over Bridges, Metro Railway Line, Sub Way, Sky Walk etc. In most of the places the signage indicating what is the infrastructure project, its scheduled time of completion etc is not placed. The citizens and the first time visitors to these cities keep guessing about why they are suffering from traffic snarls, road blockages, which many times force them to miss their train or flight. Can anybody in the concerned authorities ask the contractors to do the needful?

The Lulla Nagar bridge in Pune was mooted by the past and current husband and wife corporator team of Sainath Babar and his wife Aarti. It has created such a mess at the crossroads that even the police feel helpless and all this for what? Money, fame, gratitude. It has taken three years to build and is still only 50% complete. With lakhs on engineers in India, we cannot even complete a small motorable bridge within a year, what a shame!

I have been travelling from Dahisar to Lalbaug for the past eight years. What used to take 1.5 to 2 hours one way has become 3 hours one way. This is primarily due to the construction work on Western Express Highway and Link Road. I have observed that there is very little staff deployed from Bandra to Dahisar to regulate traffic. Most of the staff is deployed in South Mumbai where the VIPs stay. All the IAS officers should be given accommodation in Borivli and Dahisar and made to travel to Mantralaya. They will then know the difficulties faced by the common man. Similarly, why should Railway Officers stay in Badhwar Park? They should stay in Virar and Kalyan and travel to Churchgate and VT. Train services will improve. I have started taking the train from Borivli to Lower Parel where I know the fixed travel time is 2 hours.

dear all, here I am expressing a new thought process, to resolve traffic solution: POLICE DEPARTMENT DOES FINE AND AGAINST LAW BREAKING. I HEARD IT IS IN FEW CORER IN ALL CITIES OF MAHARASHTRA. why not give police to construct foot over bridges they fill important from the same money they collected WITH THIS AT LEAST OVER A PERIOD OF TIME THE PEDESTRIANS LIFE WILL BE SAFE.
