What is Lokpal? It will investigate the case for some time, hand it over to the court for trial. Or hand it over to State Government, ask them to set up additional courts to complete the trial. In the end the verdict has to come from the court. Just demonetize by banning Rs.1000, 500 and 100 permanently from circulation. All transactions above Rs.1000 through banks only. Black money will stop so will corruption which is its counterpart. more

The instant case is only an example. Every year our government(s) and local bodies spend trillions of rupees collected from the citizens directly or indirectly but as far as overall development is concerned, where we stand after 68 years of independence is any body's guess. We know our position in the areas of health services, education, eradication of poverty & illiteracy, development of infrastructures, areas of research and innovation, sports and in all other areas. If the amount of money spent so far is compared with our achievements, it will give a very disappointing and shameful account. It is any body's guess as to how the government officers holding key positions in various departments as well as their sub-ordinates become the members of privileged category. It is better not to speak of political leaders irrespective of their party symbol. Do any body find a political leader in our country without having properties of billions? As per the letter referred to above, in the field of corruption Indian has been placed to 85th position, which does not speak our real position. In fact corruption is the only area where we have achieved 100%. Hence we should have been placed among the first 10 countries. more

there is/are no coin(s) with only one side. An allegation/complaint of corruption may be made recklessly or without any bonafides but with sole intention and motive to wreck vengeance against the person's opponent/enemy etc. In such a case the quoted CVC report is absolutely fine. But then, the logic of making Rules to punish willful wrong complaints against Got. alone cannot be appreciated. When the proposal is such, any right thinking person would reasonably suspect the proposal to be with an intention to repel any person/ whistle bowler from questioning not only any reasonably possible corruption in a deal on the part of the Govt. but also any really provable corrupt action/deal(like coal scam etc), since the Governmental machinery can erase most of the evidence of the inquiry and wriggle out of the charges successfully. In this context it is pertinent to mention that the record of the conviction rate in criminal cases throughout the Country is around 10% or so only, notwithstanding the fact that not all such cases reach trial and that in fact crime rate (real) would be something like 200% of that which reaches the courts. This sorry state of affairs itself is the root cause of growth in corruption in the country. It would be apt therefore to make Rules to punish those keeping mum suppressing their information about any corrupt activity without reporting the same to the agency empowered to take cognizance of the same whether the involved one is Government or any other body AND not as suggested by the CVC but contrary to it. more
