Impractical Services for ultra elite

So vande bharat cruise has been launched from banaras to dibrugarh where you are on a boat for 60 days in a river.

The cruise costs only 55 lakhs per person and only 2.2 crores for a family of 4.

A country where this amount can feed 100 villages for 60 days, it is just criminal to launch these services. Its a slap on the middle class.

Can we pleas think about cruises that the middle class can afford and may be cost like 2 lakhs for the whole family for the duration? We dont need lavish buffets and free liquor. more

Anushka Singh has no knowledge of who and how is this being managed. It is the project of a private entrepreneur who surely knows its workability. PM was just given the honour to inaugurate it. Those criticizing its cost should remember that it is for those who can afford it and there are plenty of them. If those persons are prepared to spend and enjoy why should this be commented upon? Whether they spend 2 days or 51 days is none of the business of those against it. A flight has different classes and there are customers for that. What is wrong if India and the entrepreneur earn money? Sheer misuse of the Local Circles. more
This is absolutely a poor thought to plan such trip. How a Govt could think people will spend so much money and stay in cuisine for long. In this age, who has enough free time to enjoy. Like us in India no even few thousands people don't have the capacity to spend for such trip. Perhaps it will remain a dream for the people of the country bare a few selected people. Absolutely huge waste of money. It could be better to clean up Ganges first to spread the ferry service at different locations as it was executed in west Bengal that could benefit the common people. more
What I do not understand is why the PM is focusing on these projects. More than half the country's population does not have electricity, no proper water supply to their houses, domestic gas prices are sky rocketing, petrol, diesel and CNG is exorbitant, milk and bread are at an all time high, essential products are so expensive, the poor are getting poorer while the rich make hay when the sun shines, the ruling party in Maharshtra puts up thousands of hoardings with the CM and deputy CM on them instead of saving this money and giving us subsidies, or at least reducing the burden on the above items, why cant the PM see the plight of the general public??? more
Indirect, direct and induced employment generated through this. In any case foreign tourists too would book generating huge revenue. Same investment through tourism generates 1.73 times the revenue than manufacturing. Cascading effect insofar as shipbuilding benefits too. Moreover, economy gets a fillip with tourism. The vast riverine system gives India the geographical advantage awaiting exploration via cruise. Indians spending on foreign cruises. Better such potential customers drive India's touristic potential. more
See this way the economy gets a fillip, incuding India's shipbuilding. Tourism generates 1.73 times the jobs that manufacturing does. Then, India's riverine system already provided the waterways long enough. Capital saving, human employment generating activity, makes tourism sustainable. more
