Yesterday PM Modi announced the formation of task force that will work to prepare a strategy for improvement of facilities, spell out selection norms and better training facilities, and would comprise of both in-house and foreign experts.

We hope to see reforms in sports bodies leading to increased transparency, better selection of players, more effective training and eventually more medals for India in Tokyo Olympics 2020.

Thanks for all who participated in this subject and played the role of active and responsible citizens. We must appreciate good actions of the Government and provide constructive inputs when issues need to be addressed. more

Transformation will only happen when the Politicians n bureaucrats are removed from the games n sports federations and it is handed over to sports persons. Nothing will happen till politicians are involved in the transformation of sports. This should have been done two years back when every on knew that OLYMPICS are happening in 2016. It is only an eye wash. more
Mr Vijay Goel appointed as A Sports minister have failed to come up to expectation. His approach even after the event is timid and vigor less. He should be sacked as a Minister as next Olympics is just four years away and this much time is required to build Good Olympians more
In India we are truly national Govt should get out of games. The corporate should be made the responsibility of one game to be develop the players and provide infrastructure of international level under public social responsibility. Ministry of sports and federations should be scraped more
