How we can make railways price rise justified.

Hi I am not an expert in this field so If I make some suggestion which seems irrelevant please forgive me.

I believe that we can justify this increase by making our railway officers/staff responsible.

The very simple way of doing it is to Provide all the helpline numbers including central railways ministry on the ticket itself.

Most of the commuter does not even know that in each and every coach there is a coach conductor and he/she is responsible for maintaining all facilities in that coach.

we can start a better service by providing direct helpline numbers. The benefit of this is
a) All of the railways staff will have a sense of responsibility.
b) They know that all the calls are monitored and he/she can be asked of clarification anytime.

Thanks

I request the Modi Government to built Storage for Food Grains to avoid deterioration due to Rains etc . Any such wastage should be recovered from the Food Depot Manager. more
I feel before increasing the fare a white paper should have been issued and the need for increase can be explained, sudden increase may give bad impression to public, have patience more
Please improve Rail Passenger Services. Stop leakages. Increased Fare collection should be utilized to increase Rail tracks on the existing lines . Stop Late running of Trains which often leads to missing Link trains and causing inconvenience to the Passengers. The Reservation Period should be maximum 7 days only. Last moment of cancellation of trains when reservation done 60 or more days advance is horrible. If about 15% of total seats earmarked for Tatkal can be sold within 5 minutes then why remaining about 80% tickets cannot be sold in 7 days. more
Very well said. We can also use this fare increase as a short term measure if we can stop the leakages in the railways. How manpower&money are wasted or idled away. We can also ask the railways to come up with an inventory of their landed assets/idle assets/annual compensation claims for the 3000 accidental deaths etc and go deeper in to containing wastage of money/manpower/resources/capital/land holding/ticket less travel&loads more. May be this a very good opportunity to start thinking seriously about our railways. We all know we can't have faster trains without standard gauge&yet our railways wasted so much money on broad gauge conversion and only added 9000 KMs since independence. Someone definitely was letting us down. more
