How pharma companies cheat Consumers & Govt

As a physician, today i want to share a major issues with all of you.

Govt recently has capped pricing of several drugs. The Govt actually caps prices of salts or formulae inside drugs.

Some pharma companies there fore add a new supposedly harmless ingredient to the drugs and then escape these price caps.

Enforcement is either not there or is bought over. more

They have added at least something to get more money. The makers of generic medicine print MRP 10 times more than selling price. The selling price includes profit also. When they sell at Rs 10 why they print MRP Rs100? What is the reason and mechanism? It is like not linking Adhar to Votar ID. Every one has their own logic. more
We are so money minded, nobody save us. more
The Pharma companies have to rise to the occasion as no amount of policing will help. more
Its the main problem. Profit is not the main aim but Only aim of most of the business community these days.So it is futile to expect that they would mend their ways of their own. The authorities need to step in and act ruthlessly to implement their policies in the interest of suffering people.. more
That is why there is opposition to COMBINATION DRUGS more
I agree with you. I am part of pharmaceutical industry, working in pharmaceutical company marketing product s which contains vitamins and minerals, I am working in sales and marketing department as fourth line manager. There is no price control on vitamin and mineral and protein supplements so many companies, even local companies or businessman having money power or senior/ retired person s from pharmaceutical industry start marketing their products, many a times these people don't have own manufacturing as well as research and development unit, they get these products manufactured from third parties. Most of them manufacturers vitamins and minerals , protein supplements which are out of price control act. Government should have price control on brands which contains vitamins and minerals, protein. more
