SUB :- HIGHER PENSION OPTION - Allowing members of Employees Pension Scheme 1995 the
benefits of the actual salary in the Pension Fund exceeding wage limit of Rs.6500/- or Rs.15000/-
per month from the effective date respectively as per the Hon'ble Supreme Court's order in SLP
No 33032-330033 of 2015 - Option for higher pension and deduction of Contribution towards
EPS-1995 on Full Salary i.e. the salary on which EPF is deducted and remittance of the amount
to the Pension Fund- Exercising of Option - Regarding.

In view of the above judgement of the Hon'ble Supreme Court, there is no need to approach any court, but this precedent is sufficient. more

The order is not being implemented as EPFO have raised about Exempted/un exempted category issue after implementing in some cases.The EPFO is making a mockery of Supreme Court Judgement and harassing pensioners.Govt is also silent despite various assurances given on the floor of Lok Sabha and also to various MPs who did raise the issue on personnel levels also. Really painful. more

The amount of pension paid by EPF is not sufficient to survive even 1 day in a month. it should be abolished as it does not serve purpose of provided subsistence support. more

Supreme court must intervene and tell EPFO to implement its order intoto within a time frame. If it does not follow, SC must sent notice to the Union Govt for not implementing its order. more

Govt & Epfo does not want to implement this. The junior HRD minister Mr. Kusgwah who later resigned on the eve of MP Rajasthan election, made reirees'representatives' who met him believe that he is favourably considering the implementation, later in a TV interview (before he resigned) said Govt can't implement it to every one & can give it to only those who had approached SC & got the verdict. He also mentioned that that GOvt is considering Rs 2000 minimum pension. All that boils down is that the GOvt is trying to take us for a royal ride. Now with the election code coming up in next 2 months don't expect any action from this Govt. We should organise to file a case in SC requesting a pro active implementation by Govt/ Epfo. Since EPFO has all the information in their records, they should inform all eligible the amount to be paid for availing enhanced pension & the amount of pension with arrears that they are eligible. EPFO also should adjust the amount to be paid from the arrears. Now EPFO is insisting to pay the amount first.' more

This issue has been a struggle since a long time and hope before elections we see light of the same. What people are asking are what has been promised by the govt. more
