Govts. should protect the interest of the Consumer
It is a fact that E-Commerce portals and retails in Op[en Markets /Hyper Markets are looting the Public on guise of Heavy discounts by flouting MRP. It is the need of the Hour Govt. should initiate action on the Manufacturers to print the actual price on the Product Packings. Though actually the price of the product is far lesser than that of the 50% to 80 % some times it is boosting Double or more too lesser than that of the actual selling cost. But the Manufacturers are paying tax on the Billed Price to the distributors/Retailers/ Hyper Markets etc.
Further the Products are being Packed on the fractioned weights such as 60 Gms, 80 Gms, 120 Gms,125Gms, 160 Gms etc. though there are instructions that Product packings should be 50Gms multiples instead of fractionated weights.
These mal practices should be curtailed by issuing strict instructions by strengthening the Monitoring Machinery to protect the interest of the Consumers.

Dual MRP system has been permitted in the relative laws and these groups of dishonest companies are taking undue advantage of this faulty system to dupe the consumers. Our government appear to have hands in glove with these dishonest manufacturers and traders with common motives of looting the consumers and passing on the additional earnings to the political parties in the name of 'chanda'. Otherwise, how the law can permit dual pricing system for the same product?

This is a fact . The definition of mrp is not proved justce to consumer. So the provision of labeling shall be scraped. And in place of mrp there shall be mandatory provision of labling srp , means sale retailer price. Transperncy and competition both are the basic requirment for any trade in the consumer interest. When both principles considered then no need of MRP. How ever in democratic country , the price war is ought to be there. Quality and quantity also equaly important while fixing a sale retail price. Or present MRP means maximum retail price. Instead of maximum it shall be defined minimum retail price which include all cost ,like tranport ,profit, commission, and taxes also expiry periods of product. It is now clear that present MRP provision in the act is not proved helping to consumer. Price war on ecommerce sites is bluffing game to consumer . And there shall be some stringent provision in the w and m act with due clarification and defination to prevent such price war making fulish to consumers. Thanks Er hira Jadhav 9823599957.

In most of the products being sold by E-commerce use stickers for MRP which is not permitted by Law. Pl verify the rates from market and if you find any discrepancy, file the complaint against E- coomerce company and that would be become more easy from First January 2018. Regarding the net weight in fractions, there are 19 groups of consumer products that should be packed in specified quantities like Soap, Biscuits, Juices & Mineral water, Cereal & Pulses,Oils, Salt, Flours,Tea & Coffee etc as per Second Schedule under Packaging Rules of Packaged commodities under Legal Metrology Act 2009.

In India, flouting the rule is a fashion and government should be rigid on basic principles.

The MRP printed by the manufacturer should be based on certain guide lines so that they are not sold much below MRP.

The genuine manufacturer usually put reasonable MRPs based on production cost and other expenses as few of the taxes are charged on ex-factory price and they have to file return to Tax department but the excessive MRPs are printed by fake companies/Fake products that needs to be checked. In such cases , consumer should be more vigilant and insist for cash memo by paying additional tax as these product do not carry incomplete/ fake address without any customer care Number and E-mail which is mandatory as per prevailing law. Most of the fake companies are not registered with any authority and tax department.
