Good win friends

I think this circle or the corruption circle was discussing the subject of gifts to Govt officers, esp on festivals.

IAS and IPS officers, along with other civil servants, may no longer be able to take home the gifts they receive on official duty. The Narendra Modi government has decided that all the gifts they receive will have to be deposited in an ‘uphaar sangrahalaya’ or ‘gift museum’.

The move would ensure that gifts received by government officers can be used for generating revenue, and not lead to “hoarding”

So basically best not to give any gifts to Government Officers. And a thing to remind them when they ask for favours. more

What about home deliveries, handing over to servants (or,trusted ones) ? more
Real motto and spirit of public administration to be such only. Even now, Enjoyment of Subsidies on Gas etc., by rich and Politicians to be voluntarily or, at a law to be set for justice keeping in view the striving livelihood status of majority please. more
Welcome move by our PM. Nonetheless, this needs to be extended to all government servants and netas as well. But will this stop from gifts being given at their respective houses and outside the office premises. Bribe is given either at their houses or other places other than office. I heard government servants and netas openly ask the givers of gifts and bribes at places other than office which are not under CCTV surveillence. Now government servants and netas are well paid, and they don't need such gifts and bribes for a decent living but bribes and gifts are rampant despite clarion call by the PM. In short, attitude of the people much change for good, then we can see corruption free India and there won't be cases of accumulation of wealth dispropotionate to their earnings, in future. To start a good beginning, candidates who contested election needs to be probed based on the affidavits (espccially with respect to the wealth creation over a period of years) filed in comparison with that of the earlier one filed. Punishment must be meted out depending upon the offence committed. more
If such gifts enhance government revenues, in my opinion, more and more gifts should be given to the government officials. more
very good decision. it will stop corruption as well. gifts are given to get something out of them. bnbhanot On Wed, 7 Aug 2019 at 12:20, Amod Agarwal wrote: > more
