Feedback system needed for improving facilities in railways
Higher officials of every railway division usually reside in their ivory towers, rarely coming down to know the ground reality of hardship every ordinary citizen faces. There business is over when a politician or a high ranking official is inspecting their division, which may be once or twice a year or never.
Due to the callous attitude of these higher officials, many ordinary citizens are put to much hardships.
Lack of proper platform for complaints and grievances of the ordinary people to complain is the reason for many hardships one has to suffer. An easy interactive complaint system must be identified, which gives the railway officials and railway minister a quick view of the hardships the railway user is facing and also for the passenger to complain.
In the era of technology, when every person has access to internet, or android phones and mobiles, an interactive app can be used to get the feedback from the passenger. The mobile number of the passenger is provided when booking the tickets. When the passenger reaches his destination, at the same time the railways should send a common message to all passengers wishing he had a safe journey and to provide feedback like a questionnaire via the internet or through his android phone.
This I am sure, railways can improve the facilities from the feedback it receives from the passengers.
It should be mandatory for higher officials travel at least once in month in a different train every time and carry out improvement. The number of improvements carried out should be a basis of next promotion. Thank you.

When we asked for the Complaint book the same was not given to us. As some other passengers remarked, it was probably useless to enter any complaints as these are not read by anyone in a responsible position.

I fully agree with on a very importance point that the attitude of Railway Officials is very callous. Accountability is very poor oe even less. so many accidents occurred and and so many Inquiry Committees set up. How many Reports were made public in the past? There is a National Grievance Portal (http://pgportal.gov.in). Every time a suggestion is made the concerned Officer comes up with an answer ho he cannot implement that!
