Father’s Name in PAN & Aadhar Cards

What was and is the use of mention of Father’s name in woman’s PAN Card and whether that use was ever considered by any of the government authorities?

Answer is that, YES. There is a great use, which the mindset of government machinery may not even think of.

Here it goes. :

A person working in Private sector, has one or two daughters. By the time he gets them married, either he is about to retire or has already retired. Most of his savings has been used to get his daughters married.

Now he has a problem even of paying his own rent, because he does not get any pension.

One daughter invites both parents to come and stay with her. They happily accept her invitation and move to her residence.

Big Problem. How do they get Address Proof for their new home? The rental place vacated by them, still continues to be their official address as per documents like Aadhar, PAN, Bank, Mobile.

There is NO Provision for such parents to get this official address changed. Every authority comes up with different demand, which are difficult to be met by the retired person, especially if health problems now start for him or his spouse.

Father’s name mentioned in every woman’s PAN card could help in the matter. But NO. While in government service, one cannot think of such advantages especially to those who had worked in Private sector.

KYC (Know Your Client/Customer) was changed to CKYC (Central Know Your Client/Customer). Mostly the certificate issued for CKYC shows the KYC Identifier number, name, date of birth, email, mobile number, and postal address. It also mentions that the Proof of Identification is PAN card of the person.

Why the name of father is missing from this document, when it is specifically asked in the application form? Obvious. The incorrect mindset.

I personally do NOT have any such problem, but see some of my senior citizen friends facing it. So, I feel that there must be a simple method for changing the official address in Aadhar card, even if a senior citizen does NOT have any document to prove that it is his/her owned house/apartment. House/ apartment in the name of daughter should also be accepted, for which father’s name should be explicitly mentioned in CKYC, and also in PAN and Aadhar cards.

Like in the Passport, names the parents MUST be made essential for documents like Aadhar, which may be useful to many, and will reduce hardship caused to them if they need shift to their daughter’s home.

My opinion, and I could be wrong. more

Change of address, even in case of going other States is becoming a hurdle in all like PDS, even Voter IDs. Digitization need to solve these permanently from Now. Father's Name for Female helps in the issues of property share demands since after 2004. more
