FARMER FRIENDLY LAND POLICY

FARMERS BADLY NEED GOOD WAREHOUSES FOR TEMPORARY STORAGE OF THERE PRODUCE. ABOUT FIFTY PERCENT OF PRODUCE IS LOST DUE TO POOR STORAGE, HOSTILE WEATHER, BY WORMS/RODENTS ETC.

IT IS HIGH TIME THAT ALL STATE AND CENTRAL AGENCIES RISE UP TO THIS CRYING NEED FOR URGENT DEVELOPMENT OF WAREHOUSES AND COLD STORAGE AT VILLAGE LEVEL.

PROPER ROAD CONNECTIVITY AND SPACE FOR ELECTRIC SUBSTATIONS ETC WILL ALSO REQUIRED FOR EASE OF MANAGEMENT OF THIS.

LAND WILL BE REQUIRED FOR DEVELOPMENT OF THESE FARMER FRIENDLY SERVICES.

IN ADDITION DAIRY IS ANOTHER FARMER FRIENDLY ACTIVITY WHICH GIVES WORK AND MONEY TO FARMERS ALL YEAR AROUND. THE COW DUNG AND URINE PROVIDES BEST MANURE AND INSECTICIDES. FOR DEVELOPMENT OF AMUL LIKE COOPERATIVES AND DAIRY ACTIVITIES OF PRODUCTION OF DAIRY PRODUCTS AGAIN LAND WILL BE REQUIRED.

FARMERS NEED HOSPITALS, SCHOOLS, POLYTECHNICS AND COLLEGES FOR THEIR CHILDREN. AGAIN LAND IS REQUIRED FOR ALL THESE ACTIVITIES.

VILLAGE COTTAGE INDUSTRIES ARE OF PRIME IMPORTANCE FOR THE VILLAGE FOLKS FOR GENERATION OF EMPLOYMENT AT DOOR STEPS. NOW VILLAGE FOLKS HAVE TO MIGRATE TO CITIES AND HAVE TO LIVE IN DIRTY ENVIRONMENTS OF SLUMS.
LAND WILL BE REQUIRED FOR THIS ALSO.

OF COURSE MODI GOVERNMENT WILL LIKE TO MOST ACTIVITIES FROM BARREN LAND. BUT AT TIMES SUCH LAND LOCATIONS MAY NOT SUIT THE NEEDS OF VILLAGE FOLKS OR FERTILE LAND MAY HAVE TO BE ACQUIRED FOR THE PASSAGE OF ROADS.

MODI GOVERNMENT WANTS TO GIVE BEST DEAL IN FORM OF FOUR TIMES THE MARKET RATES PLUS EMPLOYMENT TO ONE MEMBER OF FARMER FAMILY.

UPA GOVERNMENT HAS BEEN ACQUIRING FARMERS LAND AND PASSING ON TO THEIR KIN AND LOOTING THE FARMERS. THEY HAVE NO FACE TO OPPOSE THE NATION AND FARMER FRIENDLY DEVELOPMENT EFFORTS OF MODI GOVERNMENT.

OUR FARMERS ARE WISE ENOUGH TO UNDERSTAND THE FACTS AND HONEST EFFORTS OF MODI GOVERNMENT. more

Where ever land needs to be acquired for welfare of society, farmer needs to be shareholder/stakeholder along with panchayat more
In my opinion the most important and immediate requirement is ware house at every crop source to enable to save the precious crop produced with hard labor and borrowed money which is lost due to rain and rodents and other calamities. The present storage is grossly insufficient to store the produce. Another important issue is effective crop insurance where the farmer get his claim without hassle. The present Insurance product is useless and the farmer only pays the premium but when it comes for claim payment the Insurer quietly takes excuse and decline to pay. This is another cause of concern and anger for farmers. more
YES. indeed you have touched the right cord. The painful condition of potato growers remind repeatedly in west bengal but the politicians will only blame each other and do nothing more
For whatever reasons, farmers' land cannot be forcibly acquired. How many urban residents give up their home/ society boundary land to widen roads? The municipalities cannot do a thing even if has no impact on their survival. When they give permission to build/renovate bungalows/apartments, the municipality does not ask them to leave land for widening of roads. more
i agree with the remark. But over and above the crop insurance to be specific to the damage of individuals of the crop. not on area based as it exists now. more
