Long ago, when I was serving as Refractionist at the prestigious medical institution, Sir Ganga Ram Hospital (in Rajinder Nagar), in the year 1962 there used to be one combined Eye & ENT Department with the attending surgeon known as Eye & ENT Specialist.
Eye and ENT are now two separate disciplines, and I currently serve as Contact Lens Practitioner at the well-known eye care institution, Ophthacare Eye Centre (in Janakpuri).
Both eyes and ears are vital sensory organs...and we need to preserve them well (by undergoing professional eye examination and avoiding loud noise surroundings)!
Picture should an economically priced ear-plug to muffle sound in noisy surroundings.

To Mr Harish Dhingra: Symptoms of glaucoma may be sudden acute pain, redness, and reduced vision; there may even be reduced vision on waking up in the morning. There is absolutely no home remedy for this `thief of vision' that strikes out of the blue. The best measure is everyone over 40 years of age to go for yearly professional eye examination, and follow the advice of the eye doctor. To Mr Rakesh Sarin: A cold morning may surely result in some watering in the eyes, but if it is excessive, or solely experienced by just one person in the family, it's advisable to see an eye doctor for him to look for the cause and suggest remedial treatment. more
