When the Government said that the prices will come down after the introduction of GST we were hopeful and have been patiently awaiting the reduction of the prices as the Retailer has to pass on the benefits to the customer. This part is not happening and there is no real fool proof system in place to ensure that the benefits are passed on. The entire billing and costing part is not transparent. The MRP is printed on the box by the Company when they sell to the retailers. The retailers do have a very high margin already built into the MRP as it is inflated by the Company to serve the needs of the retailer.
When the entire business industry is functioning without ethics or moral up righteousness how on earth can anybody not be taken for a ride?

A very common issue more than 50% profit(LOOT) is Tea in trains and platforms. The rate of tea is Rs 7 and quantity is fixed. They sell the tea at Rs 10 and about 30% less quantity. Making profit in both price and quantity. No one questions. Those who know the rate and quantity and who do not know respond the same way. Nothing will happen. more

Government has not studies the GST rule properly. Even if they have studied, yet they have not studied the entire business industry which is functioning without ethics or moral. more

We are all responsible for this kind of system. As long as we do not change our attitude of let some one attend to it or it snot my problem and so on No govt., can do anything. For example - On the Highway for a Water Bottle the hotel charges over & above the MRP at least Rs.3-5/- per bottle, in many places but the fact is that when a customer raises the voice No Co-Customers join hands with him/her so, his/her voice doesn't have any value in it. This is just a sample, like this we can find 'N' number of problems we every day through out the country. And even today you can see many people ask for the bill without Tax so the Seller is coz they don't want to lose the customers and on the other side greediness of saving from Tax. So, our attitude must change and every one should feel that I am accountable and responsible then things change for me. And I have realised and started doing it, are you? more

Above MRP no one is supposed to sell, it is very clear but why still many are selling and if you question no one supports you - this is where we need to pitch in but very unfortunate, you can see in 99% cases people do not support you. To create a good society and make every one responsible and accountable all common people must pitch in then only things will change for us more
