Energy Drinks - Inputs on Issues

The consumption of caffeinated/energy drinks in India has shown an upward swing during the past decade.

It has to be examined that these drinks are not addictive and have safety issues associated with them, esp since our youth is top consumer for such drinks.

Research in some countries have indicated these drinks causing a rapid rise in energy levels including rise in blood pressure and after a certain time period they causing a crash/sudden decline in energy levels.

We would like to seek your inputs on the subject of Issues with Energy Drinks. Also, if you have experienced them first hand, please share your experiences.

Any thing if consumed more then sertain limit its dangerous .we can show the warning sign like on sigrate packet "smoking is injurious to health ". Similar we can show on soft drinks like Pepsi coca cola red bull " regular drinking may cause obesity and diabetes ". more
We can't ban them but the ill effects of these caffeinated drinks can be advertised. The caffeinated drinks have so much sugar in them which is very harmful and might cause obesity and diabetes if consumed in large quantities. They also don't have any nutritional value. more
Promotion of Milk & Milk product items like Lassi, Butter Milk, Flavored milk to preferred. This are also energetic and the pricesof them are lesser or similar. Secondly they would never affecting safety standards The energy drinks obviously needs to measure the safety ness & long term effects more
