Elections -modifictionof vehicular bodies - No regulators !
The Motor vehicle act of all states are very clear while issuing registration to all vehicles road worthy and fitting to standards .
But during elections the recent trend noted is hundreds of vehicles of all types and brands are modified( major ) by fabrication to suit the candidates propaganda needs some times in very fancy shapes ,colours and bodies .I finds them in AP and Telengana more and it is a specialised industry doing brisk business
Is there no enforcement of law ? Are they mechanically safe ,who certifies ?
It is free for all!
Rules are tossed by governments .Let central law enforcement act lest dangerous consequences like accidents take place .

The laws/rules are meant for common man and not for netas who consider themselves above the law of the land. The RTOs/traffic police work as a pawn in hands of rulers and they just can't dare to challan/confiscate any modified vehicle beyond the permissible limits. This has tempted many people to file PILs to tame the law breaking politicians.

Dear Mr prabhakar ji, congrats for raising a very valid point. In India, because of political nexus, no party points finger to another. All are doing same thing. Only a PIL can bring a solution. Regards

I believe candidates and leaders of all major political parties are getting their vehicles for electionering modified as per their needs-right or wrong?

I fully endorse the views expressed by Mr. Nileshwar. During election campaign all rules and regulations are tossed by the candidates of various political parties including the ruling party and police turn a blind eye towards this atrocities. A honest citizen will be trapped for no fault of his. Candidates need to be role models for the citizen but who is setting that kind of example currently. At least PM and BJP chief should issue specific instructions to their party cadres across to follow election code of conduct and to abide by the rule of the land. Respective CMs and chiefs must be made responsible for the strict following.

DAER PRABHAKAR RAO: VERY VALID POINT, YOU HAVE RAISED. MOST OF THE MODIFICATIONS AND WILD ADJUSTMENTS ARA DONE BY RULING PARTY LEGISLATORS OR THEIR MEMBERS OF PARLIAMENT. THE RTA OF THE STATE IS UNDER THE CONTROL OF THE RULING PARTY AND THE RTA IS PRESSURISED TO APPROVE THE MODIFICATIONS. THESE MATTERS SHOULD BE BROUGHT TO THE ATTENTION OF THE CEC OR THE LOK PAL IN QUICK TIME AND STEPS TAKEN TO STOP THESE ACTS. NO OTHER BODY WOULD DARE TAKE COGNISANCE OF THESE ACTS..!!..
