Effective use of CSR Funds - Current Gaps

Corporate Social Responsibility or CSR funds have not been effectively used in India. Any company with turnover of over 500 Crores are required to spend 2% of last 3 years average profit in CSR activities.

If deployed well, these funds can be effectively used to address some of the social problems of India as well as to boost the Start Up ecosystem.

With this post, we would like to seek your inputs on what are the challenges/gaps with the current CSR structure/system.

Once we understand the gaps, we will have a seperate discussion on what can be done to ensure better use/deployment of CSR funds in India.

We look forward to your inputs! more

Request from Major Suresh Rana 9810128361 Dear Citizens You are requested to Forward this msg to a minimum of twenty people on your contact list; and in turn ask each of them to do likewise. In three days, most people in India will have this message. This is one idea that really should be passed around. *Reform Act of 2014* 1. No Tenure / No Pension: Parliamentarians collect a salary while in office but should not receive any pay when they're out of office.how can they get pension after 5 years of service when even in Army they need to put thrice as much for minimum pension n 20 years for full pension 2. Parliamentarians should purchase their own retirement plans, just as all Indians do. 3. Parliamentarians should no longer vote themselves a pay raise. Their pay should be linked to the CPI or 3%, whichever is lower. 4. Parliamentarians should lose their current health care system and participate in the same health care system as the Indian people. They are getting not only all in concession, and free, like travel, ration, electricity, water, phone bill. Even they need Salary and pension? Is it not shame on their part. On what basis they ask... Bold Shameless... 5. Parliamentarians with tainted records, criminal charges & convictions, past or present should be summarily banned from the parliament and fighting election on any pretext or the other. 6. Parliamentarians should equally abide by all laws they impose on the Indian people. 7. All contracts with past and present Parliamentarians should be void effective 1/1/15 8. Retirement age shud be 60 fr politicians too The Indian people did not make this contract with them. Parliamentarians made all these contracts for themselves. Serving in Parliament is an honor, not a lucrative career. The Founding Fathers envisioned citizen legislators, so ours should serve their term(s), then go home and back to work. No surrender of subsidies like LPG by citizens unless all subsidies available to MPs and MLAs withdrawn including subsidised food in Parliament canteen If each person contacts a minimum of twenty people then it will only take three days for most people in India to receive the message. Don't you think it's time? If you agree with the above, pass it on. If not, just delete. You are one of my 20+ - Please keep it going, and thanks. 🇮🇳🇮🇳🇮🇳 On Nov 20, 2015 8:10 AM, "Ashok Wadekar" wrote: > You will not be disappointed after reading this. > > 1. Such a Shame Double Standard thinking…… We have elected a prime minister not a magician. (Must Read)….. Why is Narendra Modi making more foreign visits ??? 1. For the first time after 42 yrs Indian Prime Minister visited Canada not to attend some meeting but as a specific state visit, in a Bilateral deal, India was able convince to Canada to supply Uranium for India’s Nuclear reactors for next 5 years. It will be of great help to Resolve India’s Power problems. . . . 2. Canada approves visa on arrival for all Indian tourists. . . . 3. And While we are all yearning for a transformation, development, etc. There is someone who is actually setting up the infrastructure for it…… Marketing of ‘Brand India’ has never been so important…… Number of days Modi stayed abroad touring 15 countries as a PM on official trips = 45…… Number of days Rahul stayed abroad (Bangkok) without informing his voters = 57…….
