Edible oil - how safe it is

People are afraid for heart attack and so looking for an edible oil which will be safe. But what is safe? Does the FA composition is good enough or the way of using the oil during food preparation is important? This knowledge should be passed on to common man, and it should be stuck on each bottle of edible oil. A summery report of fat composition also should be written on each bottle. During purchasing the oil, people will know what they are purchasing and how to cook it. more

Yes , hardly any one is aware of the chemical content of the edible oils. All are influenced by the advertisements. There should be awareness programmes. more  
In good old days, mainly ground nut oil was with highest consumption. The process with which oil was extracted was simple, without any chemical intervention. However, with industrialisation and so called "technological advancement", hydrogenation process is introduced. This is harmful and its ill effects are not widely discussed or brought to the notice of general public. more  
HEALTH PROBLEM ARISES WHEN WE RELAX MORE AND NOT INTERESTED TO STRAIN. WHATEVER WE CONSUME, OUR BODY REQUIRES SUFFICIENT WATER AND AIR INTAKE ON REGULAR BASIS. AS PER OUR STAMINA, WE HAVE TO SPARE TIME FOR PRANAYAMA, KAPAL BATHI, BHASTRIKA AND ASANAS AS PER OUR BODY'S CONVENIENCE. MEDITATION FOR BALANCE OUR MENTAL STRAIN. THE BEST WAY, IF ALL OF US ARE HAVING REGULAR PRACTICE SANDHYA VANDANA, OUR CHARACTER WILL BE REFINED AND WE WILL CONSUME FOOD FOR EASY DIGESTION AND MAKE US FIT ALL THE TIME. more  
Abhijit I do not think it would matter or influence a lady of the house to look at the content and then make a purchase. I had been to three department store - 2 big one and one local ....ladies go more on what is being advertised or what their friends suggest - which is being leveraged by vested interests more
