Dusty Ghaziabad

Ghaziabad is such a dusty city. My family moved here 4 months ago from Mumbai for my husbands job. Such pollution, both my kids have had two rounds of cough cold. Despite pollution construction and road works on everywhere. Is there any administration here??

Please give your views how things could change or do we all just give up? more

uncontrolled construction and lack of sense of citizens ownership for the civic sense...continuous low grade construction circling ghaziabad be it, indirapuram, noida ext, rajnagar ext...metro.. and their lack of management in last decade led to current situation.. born and brought up here, i can say quality of life has not elevated rather only expectation have raised...resulting into half-harted development which is materialistic only and not enhancing citizens quality of life more
Madam- Ghaziabad is Pollution, Crime and Zam king of India. I am born and brought up in 1938. Luckkily we were out from 1957 -1995. But maximum unrepairable damage in the unplanned expansion of the city. On return to my home town and viewing the damage i can only weep and live to somehow pass the old age. So you should find some other option and leave Ghaziabad more
Hi, problems are every where, agreed, but we have to take steps to eliminate them, here administration is busy with renaming roads, places, or keeping VIP bosses happy, they have to take serious issues like traffic, pollution and security rather than pleasing vip bosses........... also transport , sutos are horrible and very erratic. there should be some convenient public transport. more
I along with my family is staying in Ghaziabad for the past 23 and half years and I am enjoyed every minute of my stay here.Problems exist everywhere. One must learn to cope up.Nowadays, there is so much technology att one's disposal and command.I do agree that Ghaziabad is dusty.Install air purifiers at your home.Give a piece of Gur (jaggery) to children everyday to beat pollution. Also make them eat chyawanprash. If allergic to dust, give them face masks(or whatever it is called,to reduce intake of pollutants.)After all, problems exist everywhere in one form or other. We must learn to live with them or if we are strong, change situations according to our wishes. Please take my comment in a positive spirit.I don't intend to reduce the agony you are facing.Entire Delhi NCR s extremely polluted.Maybe, we should take a leaf out of China's book and install giant air purifiers everywhere to beat dust and polluton. more
The following drastic steps are required to be taken by the administration. First,:all construction activities to be stopped forthwith and heavy penalties for violations. Secondly :heavy vehicles not be permitted to enter cities from 9AM to 9PM.Thirdly: no crackers during celebrations. Fourthly: awareness to be inculcated at home, school, college and in the society. All the activities should be implemented on war footing. more
