DTC - Transporting Public - changing covid norms regulations

I had incessantly mailed to both transport department (DTC) & to transport minister from 2017-18 giving inputs/suggestions and sharing picture to drive home the point to rebut DTC. I used to commute to Noida from Delhi and during the course of a year I always picked up cudgels to mail and engage with Transport Department in larger interest of public who commute daily. Since last few days I again started commuting by bus and realized that things are now far worse than earlier. With new regulation of only seating allowed(no standing too), drivers/conductors and marshals have started behaving as if they own DTC. Buses seldom stop at the bus stop and passengers are put to risk making them disembark in middle of the road - when there are 2-3 buses queueing up at same stop. And another strange observation: Route No.611 (Mayur Vihar) - there was a line of 5 buses one behind other Orange, Greeen & Red offering people choice? As a result some buses were running with just 3-4 passengers. Same thing with Route no.623 ( Shahdra from Vasant Kunj)...3-4 buses all one behind other at the same time. Is there any control or regulating authority in place? Even at end terminals (as in Sector-62 Noida) hardly any Official to monitor buses timings.
Mr.Kailash Gehlot is happy adding new buses to Delhi fleet...current addition was Electric Buses. However what revenue would they bring if they are put on unproductive routes? Need of the hour is better route management - removing from areas where surplus buses ply in 5 minutes frequencies to areas where buses are seen in half an hour or 1 hour frequency.
Due to this new Covid rule of only seating. You see Buses going non-stop skipping stops even when there are a few seats available despite commuters waving for the bus to stop. Enforcement/DTC Squad should put men in civil uniform on stops at various locations to reign those drivers and their collaborating henchmen (conductor/marshal). I see many girls/ladies and elderly people being stranded even when they could be accommodated? Can't the Transport Department provide timely service to people wanting to return to the comfort of their homes after a days work?
Traffic Police of Delhi need to ensure that Bus stops are cleared from encroaching rickshaws/cabs who brazenly occupy space right on the stops. more

There are 3 ways of involving groups whether giving feedback or even original ideas on this forum. Create, curate or communicate content, in that order of creativity. Effort needed in the fomer, latter too inspires. Effort required in creating and curating ideas. DTC has the advantage insofar as the authorities there, only give communication, if at all, using digital medium. This could be the legacy of the old era since when this corporation has been operational, so improved with times would happen by being proactively involved. more
As against the DTC buses running with few passengers as pointed out in the preceding posts , Delhi Metro is allowing overcrowded coaches with poorly masked passengers. For the Metro running management it appears, Covid-19 infection is the matter of past and now is the time to make money with total disregard to Covid-19 appropriate behaviour. more
Kejriwal and party are using Delhi as springboard for making money trying to expand in the country. more
Agree with Mr. Stephen. Buses seldom stop at bus stop and passengers are put to risk when there are 2 to 3 buses queuing up at the stop. This when in the larger interest, providing commuting option buses run on CNG and replace so many private diesel cars, easing congestion and alleviating pollution. Buses must be better maintained as timely maintainance saves huge expenditures, along with running costs later. App based ticketing, i.e. Chartr a good step, but the app is full of bugs. Live status of certain routes, such as route no.801 missing. I highlighted the bugs to the developer, with an IIT (yes, the Indian Institute of Technology!) domain email address and he conveniently left my suggestions completely ignored! He displayed total arrogance. Highly unprofessional. Only can purchase tickets, 10% discounted, through the app, saving paper tickets. Ticketing records centralised too. Overall, using technology great scope for improvement. more
Bus staff must be given appropriate training that how to behave with the Public and such sessions must be repeated. There are must be feedback system on the DTC portal and some seriousness must be devoted. If a bus gets 10 complaints, the responsible staff, driver, conductor or marshal must be suspended. more
