Disclosure of homeopathy medicine name
I remember there was some talk about a new regulation by govt where homeopathy doctors will be required to disclose the name of medicine they are prescribing than just saying 1,2,3,4,5.
Its very very incovinient. We went to a doc in east delhi due to some refernece for my son but cant keep going there once a month.
Please advise.
Thanks for your comment Mr. Bharathi . All I wanted to share was that there should be transparency in prescription ans the Ayurveda pharmacy products should also have schrdule drugs which can be dispensed only against prescription from Ayurvedic doctors. As there are several O.T.C. Products being sold only on advertisements and tall claims .

Read 'Ashtanga Hridayam' book to learn Ayurvedic methods to stay healthy and cure most of ailments, all by eating good foods and avoiding harmful items. This book summarises Ayurvedic sutras which are needed on everyday basis. It also depicts good habits and methods also along with good foods.

Government orders are in keeping with fair medical practice. The patients should know what medicines are being given to them. If they go to a new Doctor, he/she will not know what medicines have been given to the patients previously. Homeopathic medicines are known to keep working for long time and the new doctor should know which medicine may be still working on the patient. Every Homeopath prepares own combinations, which may not be known to other doctor. In my opinion, all doctors should write name of the medicines in CAPITAL LETTERS, as some homeopathic medicines may have similar sounding names e.g. Alumen and Alumina, China and Cina, etc. People have a false belief that homeopathic medicines have no side effects.... if they do no good, they will not do any harm either. But, in reality, some medicines have very severe and long lasting side effects. Hence, to discourage self treatment, without proper knowledge, the Central Council of Homoeopathy should make Doctor's prescription compulsory for buying these medicines from any store.

Now to know what treatment is being given to the patient is increasing ;that is reason Government wants to bring in regulation . Further in case of non availability of the Dr. the patient has to give his treatment history to the next one . At the same time there should be strict regulations in O.T.C. [ Over The Counter ] sale at the pharmacy and chemist counters . Actuall the schedule H Drugs should be dispensed only against a qualified doctor . The list goes to good 300 . This includes higher antibiotis like norfloxacin and the like . But is easy to get them over the counter , which shouldn't be. In the case of shedule x drugs which are the nacotic and ohycotropic drugs the prescription will have to be maintained by the chemist for 2 years for perusal. The case in concern is about the misuse of drugs like the ones causing addiction, death on overdose and so on . The use of strychnine as well as yohimbine is promoted in the media and used very widely without a doctors prescription. The use is highly regulated in many contries, and is mostly used in baits to kill feral mammals, including wild dogs, foxes, and rodents. Most accidental poisoning is by breathing in the powder or by absorption through the skin. So there should be tarnsparency in prescription as well as Strict Controll of sale of Schedule H and X drugs overthe counter.
