Disbursement of salary to employees during lockdown

As there is no provision of E Pass for employers or accounts staff of companies to visit their office, prepare, sign and submit relevant request to the banks to further transfer salaries to the staff, many employers are unable to pay salaries to their staff. Is there a provision for emplyers or their accounts officers to visit
their office during lockdown and be able to arrange transfer of salries to the respective accounts of their employees. It is critical for the payment of rent, electricity bill, phone bill and also transfer money to children of those whose children are studying in other cities and are stuck their in the lockdown and have no money to pay their rent and bills.

Salaried class is under tremendous pressure to pay their bills and arrange for their basic necessities.

Government may need to address this on priority. more

@ Varun Prakash Sharma Ignorance!!!! of a salaried person with 34 years in private service is not to be certified from a person who was very upset about not getting salary of one month sitting at home. What you consider or don't consider is not in my wish-list fortunately. To pose yourself a bit smarter better ask God to bless the crores of daily earners (instead of blessing an IGNORANT) who will NEVER get their lost day's earning. more
How does 'not issuing' EPass to disburse salaries pays the wages to daily wagers?

Or, how does issuing EPass to disburse salaries prohibits employers and goverment from providing for needs of daily wagers?

Please enlighten. more
It's extremely confusing to see the post which says Salaried class is in tremendous pressure. Can anybody explain what exactly is the tremendous pressure for someone sitting inside the comfort of home with family and ensuring their salary, may be delayed for couple of days because of accountant's absence etc. Compare yourself with the person who earn their bread only when they work, including business class which is based on their business only and not paid leave. Most of the payments are nowadays done from home from bank account and not by visiting respective offices. I am also a salaried person not getting it this month, so what? when I compare myself with non-salaried community I find myself more privileged in today's situation. I think there are much more important issues to be discussed in COVID forum. more
I am surprised at your unawareness and ignorance about the salaried class. More so when you claim being a salaried class.
I will not even consider the thought of explaining to you the salaried class and their challenges because the tone and tenor of your comment explicitly explains your prejudice which is absolutely unworthy of engagement.
May God bless you. more
Yes, I agree with you that Govt, should do whatever necessary for to facilitate e-pass. In Delhi, Delhi Govt. website gives option for e-pass. more
My accounts Officer also faced problem in going to office to prepare Salary. I shall ask him to try E-pass from Delhi Government website. Thanks for raising this issue and suggesting solution. more
I am not sure of other state govts, but Delhi Govt has made arrangement of such passes for employer and finance deptt to prepare & disburse salaries of employees by getting online passes. So. if you are in Delhi, you can ask for it, but for sure other state govts would have certainly made such arrangements, you may verify this from local govt bodies. more
