Delay Industry - Where does it exist
Some of you have highlighted that there is a delay industry in India. This industry according to some members exists as a result of nexus between beneficiaries and Govt and beneficiaries and the judicial system.
We seek your inputs on various instances that you are aware of where such an industry exists.
Once we understand it better, we will have a separate discussion on solutions that must be implemented to dismantle this industry.

Please introduce penalties for magistrates and judges for adjournments without transacting any business, delay in delivery of judgement s, award negative marks if their judgement is overturned, totally negated/criticised by appeal court etc. Reflect these marks in promotion s, extension, etc. 2. Post immediately all evidence adduced in court in website accessible to litigants, affected parties etc as is done in China. 3. Lay criteria for selection of lawyers as judges by including their track record of speedy presentation of cases, least adjournments sought, etc. These are but few suggestions and legal fraternity would be able to give more. more

Yes the delay industry is well organised and exists most in-- 1. Judicial system-- by delaying judgements and giving long dates, the purpretors enjoys doing all wrong things and go scot free, police make money in delaying cases and protecting culprits, criminals going around scot free and contuning crimes with the blessing of police, as judicial system in not bringing justice timely. The best solution is is for courts to fast track all matters and give short dates, not give too many dates on small excuses and decide on cases in time bound program. 2. Government approvals-- All public facing departments, like Municipal bodies, Police, RTO, Revenue departments, all like applicant to make rounds, so as to frustrate them and shell out money to treat things sooner, best option for this is going digital, where all applications are made online, and response must also come online which has complete track record. 3. Public works-- All contracts awarded by Public works must have time lines and quality specs for completion as we see major delays in these, resulting in huge increase in costs, using public money for personal gains. All public contracts must have independent monitoring may be by private professionals with strict code of conduct and cross checks. 4. The major corruption is in civil servants and this need to be controlled, as level of corruption in all civil services is unimaginable running into much larger figures. two simple and cost saving methods will improve delays in judicial system1.introduse recording of all court proceedings on cc tv cameras. thos will ensure recording of true and honest proceedings and all litigants can obtain authentic cerified copies by using own user name and password, this will reduse cost on stenographers and cost on copying sections and eliminate delays and corruptionhonble mr.Justice B.S.Chauhan of supreme court of india supported digital recording of proceedings in all courts but vested intrest are blocking this?2.make mandatory for all courts to obey judgements from higher courts and supreme courts.at present most courts avoid to obey the higher courts and supreme courts judgements and ignore them inorder to pass orders of own choice this unfare practice is unnessasarily causing delays and adding avoidable burden and delays in judicial system On Saturday, February 4, 2017 2:34 AM, Transparency International India wrote: more

Justice DELAYED is justice DENIED. Court may say so many reasons, but the fact remains justice denied. There is a strong nexus between Judicial Officers, Lawyers, and Influential people including Politicians. To make short anybody can PURCHASE justice. We have reached up to that level. Though this is a vague statement the fact remains the same. more
